I'm totally gutted for him but I can't see where he can go now from here.

Shame but reality maybe hit home tonight.

He managed it against Braithwaite. Just not this time.
Not enough training, a bit of nerves due to wanting to put the Haye loss behind him, whatever.

Three knockout losses now, all of them by single shots, without even getting up to true world level yet either, WarrenBO trinket be damned.. He can have a career at British and Euro level if he wants to but I don't know if that's good enough for him to cope with.

Whats worse.. Enzo getting KO'ed by a 13 fight novice? Or the fact this was for the WBO interim title? Both are farcical. :patsch

Agreed. He's not smart enough and that's why he lost. Bull**** article on the main page about the other guy looking like a prime James Toney. WTF? He must have taken about 300 shots, everytime he tried to roll away he got smacked in the face.

We clearly watched diffrent fights. He barely had a scratch on him at the end of the fight. He also juked and feinted alot in the early rounds so much so that he made Enzo look like a rank amateur. He certainly did look like a poor mans James Toney and that was my exact words to my friend as we watched the fight. The comparison is definitly valid.

Simple fact is Enzo got tagged by a similarly one dimensional fighter, difference was Enzo can't take a punch.
He was ****ed after the first big shot landed in round 3 (I think it was the 3rd). He didn't seem to want to know, and wtf were his corner telling him??

Bizarre fight from Enzo, looks all over for him now :?

Thats because Calzaghe was never deserving of his award as trainer of the year and was more a victim of some very goof fortune. Ree's since lost he's first defence. Pryce got KO'ed tonight. Enzo got whacked by a novice and the best advice Calzaghe could offer him was a slap in the face.

  9. Enzo was rope-a-doped plain and simple. he should retire

    Absolutely, Calzaghe is a wanker.

i dont think its over for enzo at all...it sets him back another year or two...but with a trainer with half a brain he could still do great...a good trainer in his corner advising him tonght and he would have won that.
yes he got knocked out, but if he wasnt exhausted he wouldnt have got hit like that.
yes, he got hit in he 3rd, but at least had the knowledge to grab the ropes and hold on and lean on his opponent...
that wasnt the sort of loss tonight that says to me he couldnt be a wbo challenger again...that was a tatical nightmare.

This is the sport of boxing. In the entire fight not once did Enzo try to box. Calzaghe didnt even seem to notice how the fight was turning or adjust their gameplan if they had one. Enzo took that fight for granted and was simply exposed as are most Warren fighters.

    Aye.

Maccarinelli could and should have won that. If had had boxed smart he would have won easily on the cards.

As it was he allowed his poor punch resistance that has always been there to rear its ugly head by fighting dumb.

The fact is, up until the David Haye fight, Enzo had fought a lot of nobodies who were waiting to fall over. His record wasn't that impressive and the first time he fought a genuinely interested opponent, he was knocked out with ease.

Over-hyped and over-rated in my opinion.

well...based on tonight and haye results i cant really argue that much..

but i disagree based on looking at enzo and thinking how if he fought differently..paced himself..be smarter...he could easily be transformed into a better boxer...
