Why so much whining? I criticise as many or more American fighters as Brit fighters. Sometimes I just get the Brits riled up here because it's easy. I like fighters from everywhere.

Because most fighters have glass jaws of one degree or another. The guys who can REALLY take a punch, like Oliver McCall, are rare. Heck, even Ray Mercer got chinny at the end of his career.

I think that both Hamed and Calzaghe had overrated chins, neithers was anywhere near as good as it was made out to be, but the fact remains they could not be accused of having Glass Jaws. Far from it. Both had good, solid chins. Eubank on the other hand was a bona fide granite-chinned *******!!

 

Calzaghe had a great chin, great staimina, fast hands, etc., great fighter.

Too many Irish fighters are too aggressive, throw caution to the wind, do not use defense enough.
