Chavez was born in 1962 and he fought Tszyu in 2000. 2000 - 1962 = 38 :deal. Also, Mosley won several amateur tournaments. He was favored to win the Olympics but was beat by Forrest. Also, just like others you fail to mention that Mosley has only been accused of using roids in the 2nd bout with Oscar, a fight in which he looked like **** in. While Tszyu was supposedly in his prime he was fighting bums and getting ko'd by Phillips, and Mosley in his prime was #1 p4p and beat a prime Oscar.

Keep on ignoring the head butt and keep on thinking a guy that beat no one was as good as Mosley.

do you honestly believe that kosta tszyu was close to his prime in 2001...his reflexes and head movement are not as great as in the ruelas fight in 1998

I hate to quote you twice but I can't help but notice that you are with Vic Darchinyan in your avatar, and you seem to be really high on Tszyu. Might you be an Aussie or a fan of Australian fighters? :think

Mosley was never favoured to win the Olympics. He didn't even make the US team for the 1991 world amateur championships. You are making up fiction.

Mosley's whole professional career is tainted by steriods. If you think he only ever took them for one fight you are completely delusional.

You are a flag waving American incapable of giving credit to a fighter who clearly deserves it.

No wonder the rest of the world thinks Americans suck.

    Hi Arso.

Rueles was over the hill when Kostya fought him so is not relevant to the discussion.

  8. Tszyu is a great fighter and an easy guy to root for but there isn't a day when he beats Shane Mosley at 140 in any year (much less 2002). In some scenarios it is possible to imagine Tszyu (maybe) giving Floyd some trouble (at 140) due to his power but there isn't a chance that Kostya would have anything for SSM. In a great performance KT gets beat 8-4 but a stoppage is absolutely a possibility depending upon which Shane shows up that night. KT's prime or peak was more like 1999-2000.

Dude you don't even know simple math. Mosley was thought to be just as good as Oscar in the amateurs. That is a fact. Plus you are the one that seems to have the bias. Not me :deal

Sorry dude, but this is complete ignorance on your part.

Americans have a great penchant for overrating their own. Mosley was a great fighter but Tszyu was certainly in his class & at his best, more than capable of handling him.

I figured that may be the problem. BTW, if Mosley's career is tainted from one fight, ( A fight that had controversy from both sides) then Tszyu's career is tainted by quitting against Hatton.

How could he be considered to be as good as Oscar when he couldn't make the US team for either the 1991 world amateur championships or the 1992 Olympics?

mosley's power boxing will dominate kostya. Too much speed and power at that weight.
