A twleve round decision puntucated by a knock down. Lets hope Brester stays active and gears up for one more title shot.

Brewster is gunning for Sauerland's Valuev or Chagaev and then a profitable rematch with Wlad.

    Wise, I'd say.

The fight was an 8 rounder not 12.

Brewster has no business in the ring with either Klit or Chagaev, and if he fought Valuev it would have to be overseas and Valuev would probably receive gift decision #4.

Brewster looked good in patches last night against a Sprott who came in not wanting to get involved.

He had Sprott down and in trouble, showed good combination punches and some cute defence. Good workout win in my opinion against a decent fighter after some inactivity. He's got some work to do and I think he knows it bu the gulf in class was obvious.

Oh, and **** Steve Bunce and Richie Woodhall who seemed completely clueless yesterday.

Richie - do some research and you'll stumble across some articles about Brewster and his eye, hence subsequent layoff.

Buncey - your not impressed with Brewster but are happy with Sprott?? What fight did you watch?????

As possibly the biggest fan of Brewster on this forum, I was happy that he got the needed win.

But in all honesty, the man needs to retire or to drop to 225lbs and refocus his career, possibly move out to Germany and train with the Sauerland stable.

Thats his option to turn the career completely, in my opinion.

good win but he still needs to be active...in the HW, just KOing lesser opponents maybe enough to land you a title shot

I sure would like to see Brew against Chagaev, though.

I've watched that fight live through VIASAT and I wasn't impressed at all. Both fighters looked crappy, Sprott was by far more frightened and unwilling of two though. Brewster looked a bit soft, a bit chubby and he lost his usual focus. There were glimpses of his prime but only glimpses (just like a weird left hook that brought poor Sprott down). Sprott was even able to stand his ground and trade punches sometimes. Personally, I had it 78-74 - for Lamon but he should retire from the sport, IMO...

Decent enough win for him but it was 8 rounds not 12, he also gassed late, a 12 rounder wouldve benefited Sprott if anything. Michael was simply playing game loser, doing enough not to lose too much face but not enough to win the the rounds.

I wouldn't mind seeing Thompson vs. Brewster to face the winner of Valuev vs. Chagaev

:lol:You seem to be quite sure that the present version of Lamon will take care of either Valuev and Chagaev quite easily.
    Very optimistic,mate!
