I was at the fight live, and although Barrera's face turned red in the first round, I couldn't see how bad the cut actually was.

    Kudos to Amir.

One of the worst I've ever seen. Good thing it wasn't near his eyes because the blood was flowing heavily. His face would be torn apart if it were in any other spot.

Couple of Quote's from Jim Watt just to give you the view from Ringside.

    "It's actually spurting out now"

"That's probably the worst cut I've seen in all my years in Boxing"

Nasty cut, Ive seen worse but the corner had no chance of stopping the bleeding and the fight should have been stopped in the first.

Yeah I think they were going a bit overboard with extent of the brutleness of the cut. I was suprissed Watt didnt come out "That looks like hes been shot, its worse than a gunshot, wound, it looks like birds of then come and pecked at the wound making it bleed pools of blood on the canvas." But still was a bad cut.

Sad thing is not only some hardcore haters, but MAB thinks too that the cut cost him the fight, and would've won without it. It certainly didn't look that way, Barrera landed 1 punch before the clash of heads, and Khan was already all over him, with his hands held high. The other million shots helped to open up the cut as well.

It's sad, because I don't think Barrera should fight on, nor he belongs to the LW division at any age. I just don't want to see him getting hurt because he thinks he can take on the big, hard punching elite. I think he can get seriously hurt.

The cut undoubtedly played a factor, it was horrendous if the pictures and the state of Marcos' face from where I was sitting is anything to go by.

I was hoping Khan would have to prove something, but it didn't turn out that way. They have no choice but to go back to European or domestic level. There isn't any contenders at Lightweight that Amir could survive against. He's stuck.

And its also sad that these keyboard boxers have never stepped inside a ring and felt cold blood run down your face and into your eyes. Get a grip G look at the dam picture and tell me that did not effect him in any way...

I'm not gonna say MAB would have won for 100% certain but i do know that in the 5th round Barrera wobbled Khan with right hand. Its a 12 round fight and with Khan it doesn't take much to turn the tide.

No cut and the fight is totally different. Khan's victory yesterday means very little.

For once, we are in total agreement.

I don't want a rematch though. I want Marco to settle down with his family, so I can watch all of those fights he gave us in the 90s and 2000s.

Khan did well, but he wobbled on the two occasions he was hit by Marco. Not a good sign for him.
