Khan does not deserve all this hate, he is cearly the most hated fighter in the UK, if not the world and it all boils down to racism and jelousy.
Yes, Khan thinks he's good, but who wouldn't after winning olympic silver at 17 then avenging the defeat to a great amateur.
He has been ranked very leniently because of his name.
    He has a glass jaw.
It was shame to see him beat up an old, smaller legend in Barrera whom in his prime would never have been put near Amir...
But! He is good for boxing and apart from a bit of cockyness and arrogance, you would all do the same.
He has always shown a champions heart, he gets knocked down in the ring but has never quit and always tried to fight on. He gets constantly knocked down by the public and the press but always vows to prove his critics wrong. He even got boos when entering the ring last night, even when he was KO'd by Prescott.
He is an exciting talent with good skills and is going for the world champions when he is ready. He isn't planning on hiding at home defending the WBO like Eubank or Calzaghe.
I was sick of people hearing all week how they hoped to see Khan get knocked out and how they hated him so I'm happy for Amir that he won. Let's get behind him.

let me stop you right there.... khan is hated because he was over-paid, cocky, releasing auto biographies at 19 and charging 20 quid for a 58 minuit video of his "story so far" fightine nobodies on ppv, then fighting past it has-beens on ppv... hes a multimillionaire...and what has he won? he was shoved down our throats as some sort of future legend when he fights so amateur its unbelieveable.

avenged the defeat? that was not a legit match with kindelan, medals are one thing, world titles are another (cough audley) Khan does not have any of the ingredients to e world class... people say he has perfect offence, give me a break i could write an article on his mistakes (already did but it didnt post..) ive see more talented kids in my local gym and they wont be millionaires by 20..

he was getting put in with absolute powder puffs (theres an article from the start of his career on this very site ridiculing his opponent choice) and getting told he was great, getting so much more coverage than much more deserving fighters. Plus he just doesnt have the mental tools for the ring, panics every time osmeone throws a punch at him. i could go on all day but i wont

his race has sweet **** all to do with it, and dont put khan in with eubank and calzaghe, cus they actually had ability.

this is what im talking about right here, Calzaghe and Eubank? They were champions, why dont you compare John Murray to them? because hes oly British Champion? AMIR ISNT EVEN BRITISH CHAMPION. he has proved sweet **** all, bypassing the young hungry contenders and bullying no hopers with his crappy little pulled punches, while we had to sit and listen to people calling him "the next floyd mayweather" :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

I think alot of people dislike him because he is getting far more support BECAUSE of his race not the other way round.BBC had pushed him heavily because the UK lacks any good asian/muslim sportsmen and they feel they have a political duty to do so.I was a fan in the Olympics but since then witnessing the way the media have pushed him for political reasons is pretty embarressing. He is yet to reach anywhere near the level of a Hamed or a Calzaghe but gets the accolades as if he was on their level. At this moment he is just a contender he is yet to prove anything in the pro's,so don't get carried away.

exactly "a bridge between communities" "transcends sport, religion and poilitics" this is boxing not the ****ing UN,and what makes it worse is that every Muslim who supports him has not got a single clue abut boxing, seeing what some of these clueless morons write **** like "ahhh BRRRAAAAAAAPPPPP INSHALLAH KHAN BATTERD BARRERA" from some moron who started watching boxing when he seen khan plastered all over the place makes my blood boil, and lets not forget all of the ones saying things like "Khan battered u White boiz name one white boxa who can fyt its all about da pakisssss boiiiiiiii"

its not all one sided, the people who hate khan for being muslim/pakistani do not know boxing, same as the muslims who support khan ,for being muslim,do not know boxing, but they will dive on you like bloodhounds if you say one bad word about him, yet they dont know a jab from a hook. :bbb

Warren made all his money off the backs of muslims seduced by khans flashy but very limited style, and convinced them he was the best thing since sliced bread.

People overcomplicate things too much. Who cares what his race is, who promotes him, or how good his interview skills are?

He's a decent, young, dedicated fighter who is as exciting as hell to watch. That'll do for me.

I think he is good for the sport. He looks to have made improvments under Roach and hopefully he will continue to do so.I dont know if he can be a world champ but last night was a step in the right direction.Barrera has been an absolute credit to the game and it was a little sad to see him stopped like that,i hope he was well paid and i also hope he calls it a day and enjoys his retirment.

See, we have at least one racist here already. I am not saying it boils down to race for everyone, for most I'm sure it doesn't and I understand why he gets the hate for his over hyping, his mouth, the leniency he gets etc but how can you have anything personal against him. I'm talking about the people who are like "I hate Khan, I can't wait to see him knocked out again, he's a *******" Nobody from the UK can tell me they havn't heard that countless times the last week and that boils down to racism and jelousy.

Same to safe you've just triped over your own shoe laces there.. Stereotyping over one billion people, what a tool you are.

And as for Warren making his money of muslims... there are dozens on this site who have paid for PPV, dozens others who arent al muslim, and in case you didnt see the fight last night, there was a highly mixed crowd of people of all colours, races and whatever else. Now shut up, dry your tears, Khan has just battered an ATG

I don't know why some people sweep the race thing under the table because, whether for hate or love, that is exactly what got him all the attention and this attention was, at first, why boxing fans started debating lengthily about him. I'm not saying race is why some fans hate him, but has there ever been a boxer to generate so much love/hate before he has even got near a title shot, which he is still a few fights from.

You could say that about all the Mancs who support Hatton, most fans of mainstream fighters don't know boxing

you don't think it just *might* have something to do with the guy having perhaps the worst Glass Jaw in the sport right now and being an over hyped joke and farce?

Did you ever consider that before you started shouting racism and jealousy?

Khan deserves credit for taking on Barrera and for doing very proffesional job to get the 'w'.

Why people dislike him, thats for them to say. Calzaghe was an absolute arrogant ****, but I didn't see anyone saying "I don't like Calzaghe because of his personality". Yet I see people all the time saying "I don't like Khan, its not about him being a young, confident Pakistani man with talent and money, ....I just don't like his personality".

Khan is 22 years old, and there are people on here saying "what has he won?" and "who has he beat?".

Khan is a prospect, he has a long way to go and a lot to learn, I personally think his attitude since the loss to Presscot has been absolutely spot on.
