Abraham might not get to fight Pavlik at all. He might be forced to go up in weight soon anyway. If he went up, he'd get a high ranking with the IBF. Interbox, Bute's promoter, had made a deal with Sauerland in the past that, in exchange for Berrio coming to fight Bute in Montreal without purse-bids, Bute would give a Sauerland fighter a rematch in Germany.

So, let's assume this fight would take place in Germany. What are your thoughts?

Depends on what Abraham's work rate is like at 168. If he ups it and chases Bute a bit, he'll catch him and spark him cold. But if it's anything like at 160, he loses a pretty lopsided decision.

    intersting!

Bute uselly do well against smaller opponent and even if AA Got good speed and power his workrate could be a major factor in this one .

i will prefer see Abraham get 1-2 fight at 168lbs to see what he can do at this weight!
i wasnt impressed by his performance against simon.

Bute UD even if its on germany!

The top at smw ( Kessler, Bute, Taylor) will all beat AA

Abraham loses by decision, I think the SMW version that KOd Miranda too. Bute's style, size, defense and mobility are all wrong for Abraham. He's faster, can box moving forward and backward, not easy find the chin or body, adapts well. Don't get me wrong, the SMW AA is fresher, stronger, more accurate than this drained MW one, but Bute is simply a much better fighter.

Bute by fairly wide decision (especially if fought in Canada) or tko, based on workrate, footwork and punching accuracy (of which Abraham has none). At 168, Abraham won't be able to bully fighters in the same way he does at 160.

Nobody knocks Abraham out or stops him.

I hope we get to see this fight. Bute would be the favorite but Abraham would be a live underdog. I think Bute would be too well rounded for Abraham but if Abraham could do what Andrade did and wear Bute down then a late stoppage would be possible. I think this would be an exciting fight and I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen in the future.

But it's happened hundreds of times before in boxing, a guy who supposedly could not be knocked out, gets knocked out. It's all in the timing of the punch and whether the fighter sees it coming. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a body shot that puts Abraham on the canvass.

Bute is not the guy AA should test the waters at 168 with...Andrade is the gatekeeper at 168, i'd rather see how AA deals with him first...
