Froch is knocking Taylor silly....the truth. I dont particularly like Froch, because i dont think he is very skilled, but he has more fight in him than Jermain Taylor, and he has big power. When he hits Taylor, its going to be lights out for Jermain. Taylor does not have a bad chin, but what he does have is bad stamina, which makes him even more susceptible to being hurt late in fights. I see Taylor boxing the ears of Froch, but losing to Froch by come from behind knockout. Froch is physically tougher, and better conditioned......Plus he can punch. This is case of a kid that can fight, and a kid that has been taught to fight. IMO Kelly Pavlik would of lost to majority of MW in the late 80's to early 90's, and Taylor lost to this guy..... twice. Taylor has debatable wins over Wink,Hopkins, and he had life or death with little Kasim Ouma,Spinks. Jermain is a nice guy, and Froch is a bit of a ***but Taylor is being Ko'ed here.
If Jeff Left Hook Loser can put Taylor on the canvas Froch is going to knock that ***** the **** out.
Did he? i cant remember that. I might be wrong, because its been a while, but did he canvas him? i dont remember Taylor being stunned or hurt, but like i said its been a while.
Yes,round 5,Lacu had him down but like all his career Taylor got the benefit of the doubt. And that completely killed the fight for Lacy.
He got put down by a right hand in round 5 but it was called a slip. However he got up, stopped punching and started hanging on Lacy.
I just read up on it. I remember the KD now. I didn't think Taylor was hurt though personally ........so id say its a mute point.
We'll see what happens when they fight. Different circumstances for different fights. Froch can't throw caution to the wind and fight the same way he fought Pascal. He might wanna keep that left hand up a little more often too instead of down by his waist. Froch is definitely a rough customer and he's gonna give Taylor a hard fight but it's not as though Jermain is some guy without skills. Sure, he's got his (well-documented) limitations but he's a world class fighter and it certainly wouldn't be considered some monumental upset if he were to win. This is coming from a guy who likes Froch and doesn't particularly care for Taylor. You make it sound like it's already in the bag. There are no certainties in boxing.
Im not saying, its a certainty just that stylistically i think Froch's overall consistency is gonna give Taylor trouble. Like i said i fully expect Froch to get outboxed early, because of Taylor's skills, but Taylor's defences drop when, he gets tired, he becomes more hittable and he drops his hands. He was holding onto Lacy , because he was tired imo.
Speaking of the fight I hear it will be at the MGM grand at foxwoods CT .Anyone going ?? Tickets could be reasonable
Pascal definitely got inside Froch's power. Can Taylor fight from mid range like that though? i know mid-range is different to inclose, but Taylor has always struck me as a guy who can only fight at long range.
