I think this is what infuriates me more than Khan's arrogance, or people like DeGale.....its this image that Khan is now the second coming of Muhammed Ali after winning at the weekend.....

What ever happened to pure impartial reporting(as the BBC should!!!)....It's either one extreme or the other for sport these days and it sickens me to the core.

According to the beeb Khan "Brutally opened up Barrera in the 1st round" - now to any boxing fan that looks like he did a job on him in a boxing sense, no mention of a headbutt......

I should maybe let it go, but I just want a bit of unbiased PROFESSIONAL reporting of this great sport.....and by people with a bit of knowledge of WORLD Boxing, not just the "Names" like Khan, Calzaghe and Hatton.

    It says in the Mirror

"Amir hurts Hatton after Battering Barrera!"

How does he hurt Hatton you may well say?

After his cut has healed Amir is returning to The Wild Card Gym to spar Pacquiao ready for his fight with Hatton....

    A strange headline.

if your a Amir Khan fan thats fine

but any fair minded person can see that the whole media agenda was to brain wash us all that Khan was this untouchable super star as if they are trying to erase history

they cant erase history - Khan had his "perfect" career smashed to pieces inside 1 round

He is still a good fighter - but there are still serious doubts about him

And the whole media tone leaves a bad taste in the mouth because they are so full of ****

It's what the media do, like when they tried to convince the nation that Ricky Hatton had a chance of beating up Floyd Mayweather. It's what people want to hear. They wouldn't sell many papers with the headline- 'Amir Khan won a fight which should have been a no-contest and still isn't very good'.

The british media is for the most part awful at covering boxing.

Khan gets way to much coverage by football writers who know **** all....Calzaghe got criminally overrated when he retired as the GOAT Brit, once again by idiots who have never watched boxing before. BBC are really quite poor, and commentating in general is horribly biased toward the Brits.

Still, Setanta is ok, and there are a few journos (mostly in the broadsheets) that know there boxing.

BTW, I could really see that happening if Hatton gets beaten up by Pacman. Negotiations would be tricky of course, but it would be too big a fight in the UK for either party to pass over, provided both felt they could win it.

If Frank feels Amir could take a post Pac Hatton, this fight will happen, betcha.

If you'd had listened to the BBC five live phone in straight after Khan's victory, he got an absolute roasting.
