I dont really care what is said post and pre fight by any boxer, i turn the **** off after the fight is over. But I am interested why it is that Khan's pre fight and post fight interviews are picked over with a fine toothcomb and analysed to ****, whereas nobody gives a **** what any other boxer says pre or post fight, the odd funny comment from Hatton permitting.
Good thing no one likes football or post match intervew critiquing threads would be pages and pages long.

I hope Khan gets what he deserves next, a shot at the WBO title!!!!!

Not because I like him, but then he WILL get what he deserves....a schooling and a BRUTAL K.O at the hands of Marquez!!!

Its funny that fighters like Calzaghe and Fury never get the same **** for demonstrating their faith by wearing a rosary into the ring.

Who cares what Khan says ...his performance in the ring was top class on saturday evening .... stronger and faster than an ageing Barrera .... Hes not ready for JMM yet but hes going the right way now and Freddie Roach you are a legend !

Lets face it all boxers have an arrogance none more so than Bernie Hopkins who can mouth off with the best but hes still a great fighter ! .... talking up a fight is all part of the game youre getting in the ring with someone who wants to knock you out so you aint going to be nicey nicey are you !

    "Brutal KO" :rofl:lol:

Unless a brutal KO is a ref stoppage that seems optimistic. He hardly even seemed to bother Barrera after peppering him. He has no power.

I agree he doesn't help himself with such comments but Barrera's post fight interview was hardly complimentary either.

Not true. The threads on this site inspired by Ricky Hatton comments, if laid out next to eachother on paper, would circum-navigate the globe three times and leave enough spare for a moon voyage. There is always a reaction when a fighter says something stupid or funny or annoying. They sell newspapers by the millions in this country based on the words footballers manage to string together.

Barrera looked depondent and forlorn, I know he is known for his hangdog expression and 'poker face' but he just looked old. Khan was boxing very well but already you can tell his ego is growing back to the idiotic proportions of before his brutal hammering by Prescott. The fight was halted as a result of a head clash but anybody would think Khan knocked MAB spark out the way people are talking. Put him in there with another live opponent (i.e not some anonymous 'Irish' American or a clearly umotivated older name) and see what happens. This is exactly the type of bull**** many alluded to Frank Warren trying to pull, getting the wobbly two-bit **** conveying cart that is the Amir Khan bandwagon back on the bumpy road to inevitable but no doubt lucrative failure.

Amir ruined him and would have regardless of the cut.

Roach has improved him loads and his speed and footwork were different gear on Sat.

I was a big doubter of Khan after the Prescott fight (still am to a certain extent purely because of his chin) but he has the tools to get to the top and proved that on Sat.

I've never seen Barrera backed up like that before and it was every second of the fight!

Khan never let him into it at all and basically dominated him.

MAB should quit now, nothing left to prove.

MAB was being forced back across the ring whenever Khan decided to throw a combiation. At least a dozen times Khan drove him back on to the ropes where Barrera covered up. He clearly did want to go toe-to-toe with Khan even despite his suspect chin. The step up to lightweight was too much for MAB, even before you consider he was up against a fighter with far, far too much speed for him. The cut played a part, that has to be said, but the blood wasnt realy gettng into his eyes till the 3rd. Even before than he was constantly being beaten to the punch and hardly landed a real shot on Khan throughout the fight.

Some people on this forum need to learn how to read.

I'm not having a go for what Khan said (even though it's mostly bollocks as usual) it's what he DIDN'T say more than anything. No acknowledgement of the head clash which rendered Barrera blind in one eye from the first round and yet still has the nerve to say how it was easy
