Wlad won the coin toss. Haye is his prey. Vitali, as great as he was/is, is reaching that age where suddenly father time could diminish him. Joe Louis was 37-38 vs. Marciano. Lewis was 37 vs. Vitali. The time is coming when Vitali will begin to lose some of his greatness. Don't count on the great pretender signing any contract this week. He will not sign - 100% gauranteed.
He didnt sign the contract with what HAYE WANTED otherwise we would be talking about the fight and not the negotiations.Do you really think for the last year Haye has been wasting his time having a laugh goading the Klitch brothers and always talking about a fight only to back out when he gets the contract he wants I think Klitch camp are messing him around, who knows for what reason maybe to keep Haye busy in negotiations until the older brother is available for a fight or maybe just because they feel he doesnt show them enough respect. But wanting 2 rematch clauses and to relinquish title if you win is just looking for a way out,I have never even heard of anything like that in modern boxing.
What makes you think Wlad is "messing Haye around"? Haye has a contract on his table... It was sent about 2 weeks ago.. that is why Wlad put a deadline. At some point wlad has to move on... Haye can sign or not. He needs to control his ego and sign the deal. If not GET IN LINE just like Wlad said. The item that Haye was complaining about was changed (options/rematches) and yet Haye still is slow to sign.... I wonder why:huh
I do think he was expecting to get EVERYTHING he wanted... including the biggest payday of his career. He is a VOLUNTARY defense and he needs to remember that. He said over and over "I want Wlad" yet he wont sign the biggest ($$) contract of his life....:huh
As for the first paragraph... I think that for the last year Haye has been trying to line himself up to cash in on a huge payday. Now that the fight is being tossed at him, he is trying to hold out and cash in as much as possible because he isn't very confident of a victory. What makes you think that Haye should get evertying that he wants anyways? Is Haye the heavyweight Champion giving Wlad a shot at his title? Hell, Haye isn't even close to being a mandatory. If Haye was so confident he would have leaped to sign the contracts when they were sent to him. Especially considering that they were sent AFTER the terms of the contract had already been agreed to. If Haye does end up signing the contract in the end then none of this matters and he was obviously just trying to yank as much money into his purse that he could. However, if he doesn't sign the contract after all of that bull**** nonsense he has been saying in the media for a year, then it REALLY looks bad on him. As for the second.... You should probably do your research a little better and you will see that it is DAVID HAYE who wanted the option clause of a rematch with Wlad, and then a shot at Vitali's WBC title afterwards if he wins. Can you use an ounce of logic for a second? Why on earth wouldn't Haye want that? 3 huge paydays, the IBF/WBO/WBC and Ring Magazine Heavyweight titles. DAVID HAYE HAS BEEN SAYING HIMSELF FOR OVER A MONTH THAT THIS IS WHAT HE WANTED!! The only way that Haye would have to vacate his titles is if the corrupt orgs try to prevent a rematch between Wlad and Haye. This is quite common. Do you not remember the Lennox Lewis/Rahman rematch situation? Wlad was screwed out of his rematch once before against Corris Sanders and he will not let that happen again. Do you think that David Haye would push aside a showdown with Vitali or a fight against Wlad in order to defend a possible mandatory defense against Povetkin? We are not even sure that the IBF wouldn't give Haye an extension anyways because that is very common as well in circumstances like this. Not only that, but it is very well likely that Povetkin himself would gladly step aside and let those 2 extra fights play out with the promise that he will get the crack at the Undisputed Champion afterwards, as it works best in his favor as well. You really have your facts twisted, and it would serve you well to do some research for the real facts, and actually sit and think about the situation at hand.
Excellent. You have a way with words. I just dont get the Haye fans. What is SO hard to understand about the options? Haye is very smart to want them. If he is as good as he says, he will make more in 3 fights then his whole career to date. I think its a case of casual fans that have just jumped on the waggon... Most of these guys will be GONE after Wlad wins
Everyone has told me throughout my life that I should become a lawyer. Maybe there is something to that.:think
Chef, tell Wlad he can send me a contract for 1/4 of what he's offering Haye and I will have it signed and back to him ASAP. I won't help his resume any, but KO1 does look good on Boxrec.
Look its no secret here that Haye is having a hell of a problem getting anyone with a surname of Klitschko in the ring at the moment.Like I said the younger brother doesn't fancy it and I think he will fight someone else instead, leaving the older one to take the fight instead because they feel he is better suited for the job.
Dude, you try so hard to spin things without any substance. Sure Wlad's camp may have changed the rematch clause, but no one knows what other bull**** options they added in place of it. Then the Klitschko camp gets mad because Adam Boothe disclosed a specific item in the former contract -- that Haye actually agreed to You can't tell me Haye does not want this fight. Wladimir's camp claimed that the Haye camp was "unprofessional" just because they showed why he is not the one to blame for negotiations being difficult. That is a nice try at spinning things to the fans. The Klitschkos try to win their fights at the negotiation table, which is smart. They are used to dealing with no hopers desperate for a payday or fighters looking to cash out. Not to say Haye isn't about the money (he is), but he is not willing to eat **** for the K brothers like everybody else does.
