    Here's an interview he did on another site;

GL: There's been a lot of talk about Kelly fighting Sergio Mora next. What can you tell us about that, and what do you think of the fight?

JL: I really don't like the Sergio Mora fight. I really think he could make it a stinking fight. I know he's not going to have the balls to stand in there and fight with us, so he's going to try to run. It could be a real stinking fight until we catch up to him.

GL: Based on the fact that Sergio Mora has never really fought above 154 pounds, do you think it's a fight that the boxing public are going to clamor for?

JL: That's Arum's call. Like I said, the only reasone I don't like it is because of the way he fights. Whether people are going to like it or not, I don't know, I haven't heard too many comments. We'll fight whoever they put in front of us, but they're going to pay.

GL: Obviously, you guys will fight whoever they put in front of you. With fights like Winky and Williams taking place, Arthur Abraham and Felix Sturm floating around, are you dissapointed that the primary disscussion seems to be another B level defense against a non elite fighter?

JL: Yes, Kelly would love to fight Arthur Abraham. I don't know the terms, or why anything can't happen, I really don't know what's going on. I told everybody about Arthur Abraham. People were talking about us when we were fighting Rubio. Darnell Boone fought Lajuan Simon, a C level fighter in my gym, and beat his ass in Connecticut, on his promoter's show, and they gave us a draw. So, you know we won the fight, and he went 12 rounds, and he lost 117-110, in Germany. Kelly Pavlik will knock Arthur Abraham out.

GL: Do you think if Arum felt that strongly we'd be watching that fight?

JL: I hope he does. I hope we can bring this fight together, because we will knock him out. He's not what everyone says. Yeah, he can pop a little bit, but forget it. It may be one of our easier fights in the middleweight division.

GL: Nobody's going to question Kelly's willingness to fight anybody, based on his resume, and how he got to the championship. Since he's got the title, with these middleweight defenses he made, are you concerned that it's going to prevent him from establishing himself as a great middleweight?

JL: Go back and look at all of Calzaghe's defenses, look at Bernard Hopkin's defenses. Yeah, there are some great names on there, but there's also a lot of who the hell is this guy, and who the hell is that guy as well. With everybody you go throught these lulls, but we would love to fight Arthur Abraham, and we would love to fight Sturm. I don't know the business part of what's going on, I'm sure they want a lot of money to come over here, and I know they said they offered us a lot of money to go over there. It ultimately comes down to Arum and them working it out. I was just with Kelly, I was in the parade with him, and we were talking about the Abraham fight. He said he would love to fight Abraham. That's what we can say, but until these guys make it happen, a fighter can only demand so much. We're not fighting him for nothing also.

Why? He's the trainer of true MW champion. His guy is not a paper champ like the rest of the beltholders in the division. Not many trainers will groom a world champ. Hell, Emmanuel Steward hasn't groomed a world champ in like 20 years(Wlad and Lewis were established pros when Steward got to them)

AA is not a paper champion. He has 10 defenses regardless of how he ot his title. This is a new day today. Pav is a lineal champion and nothing more.

Thanks for noticing Abraham's **** performance...team Pavlik will be in for a suprise if they think it will work that easy...hopefully Arum thinks the same and immediately makes the fight happen...

Loew already tried to write one check he couldn't ca$h with Hopkins.
(I figured he would have learned his lesson)

Then again, he has 100% confidence in his man, which is always a +.
I agree that the Mora fight is a waste of time with the 90% possibility of making Kelly look bad Win or Lose. (An ugly decision would not be good for Pavlik right now)

Actually Nallege, how you get your title determines whether or not you're a paper champ. Abraham never beat a champion to get his title. It was stripped from Taylor and he picked up the pieces. Abraham is a good fighter, but he's still a paper champ. Beating a JMW champion won't change that.

Beating a JMW champion won't change that??? You lost me. Anyway, JT..rather than fight his mandatory, gave up the title to rematch Hop which I can understand. What makes AA a paper champion if he has done nothing but fight for that vacant title. AA's been calling out JT when he became champ and Pav. We don't even need to talk about the JMW's.

    He's supposedly fighting Forrest next.

Allegedly, Abraham turned down a chance to fight Taylor. Taylor was supposed to fight Mora. Mora dropped out of the fight and was supposedly offered a shot to replace Mora. Anyway, Abraham is still a paper champ. I don't care how many times he defends his paper title(which has been against mostly average to below average comp.), he will remain a paper champ until he actually beats a MW champion.

Yeah, but what does fighting Forrest have to do with anything Reg? I have never heard of AA turning down a fight with Taylor...sorry. I wouldn't believe it if I read it. AA has always wanted to fight Taylor. AA was a champ before Pav, and calling him a paper champion is kind of creepy. I don' think you mean disrespect by stating that, but it sounds like it is disrespect when you post it. If you have a chance to fight for the title, you go after it. Taylor was stripped for not fighting his mandatory. What is AA supposed to do...sit around and wait for a shot at Taylor while Taylor makes money?

I'm making a point that not only is he a paper champ, but his next fight will not change that

Well, if you won't believe even if you read it, then there's no point to discussing it.

This doesn't make sense to me. Who cares when he got his paper title? I've clearly stated that I consider him a paper champ due to the fact that he didn't beat a champion in order to become the champ. When he got his title is irrelevant.

That's because the term paper champ has a very negotive conotation. However, it fits Abraham's situation.

I'm not criticising Abraham for fighting for that title. However, it was still a vacant title, which made it a paper title, which makes Abraham a paper champ. If you want to be a real champ, you have to beat a champ.

Jack may want to stick to training. Saying an upcoming fight is going to stink, while maybe honest, is not good for your fighter.

Suddenly the cliche "we fight who is put in front of us" seems to make a lot of sense.
