It is terrible. The Graham/Jackson fight sprung to mind last night Basically he cannot take a punch. Simple as that. But he's got up every time he's been floored, and won all but one of them so you can't knock his heart Some stunning losses ahead for him though seem inevitable
Seriously??? Khan has already proven he one of the best, if not the best in Britain. He has now beaten a legend. Along the way he has taken decent shots. Enough to prove he hasn't got the worst chin. Sure he is shaky but the worst there is! No way. If it is that bad, then achieving what he has so far is great!
No way...the shot that put Bomber to sleep that night would have pollaxed a ****ing horse, nothing to do with Grahams supposed suspect chin. (which wasn't IMO)
The problem for Khan is that everyone he fights knows they only need to land once and its all over and pretty much every fighter gets hit with al least one good shot a fight
That is so true Ice. It was a huge punch from a huge puncher. No disgrace in getting KO'd by that punch.
Graham was still a clown. He had that fight in the bag, surely. He made a big mistake there, kinda summed him up at title level. Just always that one step short.
easy to say he made a mistake after the fight but he out boxed Jackson till that point and was looking to work him over. Then BOOM can happen to anyone. Just ask Lewis.... Khan just cant take a massive shot but if it means every fighter he faces is going to come and try to KO him it means Khan can find some room for his punches. I think it will stop him being a great champion but it should mean some good fights.
Herol had the fight won, if he had of carried on boxing Jackson the fight would have been stopped. Instead he closed in for a stoppage. So silly. Your right.
Bit subjective really. Jackson is THE MOST FRIGHTENING puncher i have EVER seen. One punch discombobulating power. Herol was handing him a boxing lesson. He closed in looking for the stoppage as you do and was hit by a hail mary home run from Jackson that connected right on the button. Graham was actually out BEFORE he hit the floor. Graham fought in an era when 154/60 had some depth. He was very unfortunate not to win a title. But hey the WBO had literally only just been created. :|
Some punchers just seems freakish.... Wayne Alexander, Naz even Darren Corbett seemed to have this ability to rock opps without even trying.
Remember what Wayne did to Paul Samuels? Wayne was another one that had terrific power. I used to see him when i trained down at the Peacocks. Actually honorable mention: Tokunbo Olajide. What a waste... ****ing trumpet player!
If fighters come into the fight with a gameplan of 'one shot and it's all over', then that might suit Khan.
