Apparnetly showtime have a deal in place with Taylor to fight Bute if he wins the title, and that they would put Froch in his place if he were to win.

Showtimes do this allot like having the winner of Holt vs Torres/Hopkins fighting Bradley and the winner of Dawson vs Johnson and Tarver vs Woods fighting eachother.

Good for boxing and could be good for Froch.

If Froch gets past Taylor which I have reservations over, it will only be because Taylor can't really take a super middles punch. That is a possibility.

Bute has a very solid chin. I've seen him take shots from a huge puncher like Berrio. I don't see Froch beating him.

I Like Froch, he ain't messing around like so many of the "Paper Champions", straight in at the deep end with a first defense against Taylor. It won't be easy but i think he can beat Taylor, Jermaine has a tendency to go to sleep sometimes and Froch could capitalize.

Bute is very good but not infallible, he nearly came unstuck against Andrade so there are weakness's there ie Stamina. Froch vs Bute would probably be in Montreal though and the atmosphere i saw in the Bute/Zuniga fight was pretty special. I only see tough fights ahead for Froch now and that is commendable.

This could be interesting indeed...but at this stage it's just a distant prospect that Bute would get to fight the winner of Taylor v. Froch this year...the main plan is that he'd fight a voluntary defence in June and then take on Andrade, his mandatory (if Andrade beats Tsypko) in October...:think

agree with Decebal. It also sounded like Bute wants to fight Andrade again to settle the score.

that's fine. Froch/Taylor could tick along with a Kessler fight. Super-middle is becoming an interesting division.

Kessler won't be available either, this year, I'm afraid. Neither will Balzsay. If Froch beats Taylor, he'll fight someone like Miranda in a voluntary defence, I think. If Taylor beats Froch, he'll fight someone like Allen Green, I'd have thought. Bika is of course another option for either of them, but that is quite unlikely...he's a bad risk.

    We'll see.

I am a fan of Froch but I still believe Taylor is the best fighter at 168 and I doubt Bute will want anything to do with either.

Miranda is in action at the York Hall, Live on Eurosport on Friday night, Could be trying to raise his Profile in England for a fight with Froch later in the summer. I'd be happy to see Froch vs Miranda, Could be a war!

My tickets came for that today - will be interesting to see if Miranda can get by Joey Vegas....

I'd back Froch to beat Miranda though - definitely a good fight to make here and build up with a name that Showtime would take as fight with Bute a little way down the line.

IF Froch gets by Taylor of course.

Froch vs Miranda would be better than Froch vs Brute.

Actually it seems clear that Bute wants the big fights and the US TV money. He's going to take what ever fights that is going to bring him closer to that goal.

The only reason Bute fought Zuniga is because Showtime insisted on Zuniga. They really thought he was going to give Bute hell. They were wrong.

They even mentioned in an article today that Bute could vacate his title in the even that Tsypko beat Andrade. Bute has no intention of fighting Tsypko. He wants to fight Taylor/Froch, Andrade, Kessler, etc...

Right now it seems Showtime is interested by a few fights.

    Bute vs Bika II
    Bute vs Green/Deleon
    Bute vs Taylor/Froch

From what I heard Showtime wants Taylor to win. They don't have much interest in a Bute-Froch fight.

Unifying by beating Bute would mean a whole lot more.
