Comments which show why Khan is deservedly getting stick

He's just been on BBC five live - just this second - saying the cut helped him a lot and made it easier. He was asked the question though.

when did i have a go at khan demonstrating his faith? i didn't have a go at khan - i had a go at some of the fans who wear "khan - property of islam" t-shirts as to me that implies they don't think non-muslims can be fans of khan.

 

:goodSpot on. No problem with Khan having the Pakistani flag or an Islamic sign on his shorts. Many fighters like Calzaghe, Witter and Munroe do similar things with either the Italian or Jamaican flag on their shorts.

But fans shouldn't wear shirts with "property of Islam" and whatnot on. Khan himself would say that he represents the whole of Britain and not just a religious minority.

I have to admit some of the shite that comes out of Khan's mouth sometimes really is annoying (going back to the old Thaxton/Murray situation etc). However, I'll give the kid his fair dues, Saturday night he boxed very well and showed a marked improvement.

Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a load of bull**** that it wasn't stopped earlier than it was and declared a No Contest, and Barerra did look much smaller (and older). I know this doesn't prove much about Khan - but fundamentally he looked good and I was impressed with the improvements in his footwork and defence. I tipped Barrera to KO Khan before hand (and if the fight went on I think Barrera still had the chance to - despite being slower and ********* he would only need just one) but Khan does deserve credit and praise.
Not going overboard like the Sun/Mirror/Star or tabloid of your choice, he isn't the Second Coming, but fair play he does have good talent and it looks at last that it can be fine-tuned to the extent where it'll take him as far as he's potentially able to go (withstanding the poor chin of course).

He could only beat what was in front of him Saturday night, and despite the controversy of the cut, stoppage time, Barrera's size, age, mileage, etc, Khan didn't look too bad at all. Well done.:good

I just hope as time goes on he learns a thing or two about humility and being humble and having respect. If you're going to slag off other fighters then at least be prepared to get in the ring with them instead of avoiding them.

Yes he can be a ***** at times,but ive heard fighters come out with worse than Khan.David Haye is not bad at talking shite and Hopkins is a master of it,the list could go on Khan is in good company.
