Look Reg, if AA is a paper champion to you, so be it. There is no proof AA turned down a fight with Taylor. If you don't have both sides of the story, then why use the word "allegedly"? Mentioning Forrest only confuses the issue because it is a non issue as far as how I look at the champions at MW. Saying AA is not a real champion is comical. He has called Pav out, and Pav is waiting on his uncle Arum...and for what? Of course you can't fault AA for fighting for a title that was stripped from Taylor. Once a champ is stripped of a title for not fighting a mandatory, what makes him the true champ in the fans eyes? Pav is a lineal champion and nothing more. AA is the true champ in my book. There is nothing paper about AA at all.

To be honest, I only talk boxing with people I either respect or xxlax on. You do not fall under the "respect" category Homer.

I use the word allegedly due to the fact that I don't have the full story. If I had the full story I wouldn't say allegedly, I would just straight up write that Abraham turned down the fight.

I don't see how mentioning Forrest is irrelevant. Abraham is a paper champ. Abraham is supposedly fighting Forrest next. Forrest is a JMW. Ergo, Abraham fighting a JMW will not change his status as a paper champ. To change this status, he will need to beat a MW champion.

Fine, I'll just stick to calling him a paper champ.

So now you can become a legit champ by simply calling people out?

Beating the recognized champ. Ali was kicked out of boxing. The fans considered Frazier a paper champ until Ali returned to the sport and Frazier beat him. Now this is an extreme example, but it does help illustrate my point.

Unfortunately for Abraham, that doesn't really help his cause. Again, he never beat any champions to get his title. Pavlik is the recognized champ. Pavlik will continue to be considered by the majority to be the true champ until he's beaten or leaves the division.

:lol:Pavlik is the recognised champ,eh! Where?

AA's camp has offered Pavlik another opportunity for a clash between the two best fighters at middle weight. Up to now there has been silence among Pavlik's minions and his promoter about abovementioned offer.
3.000.000€ is a lot of money-even for a top fighter like Pavlik.According to AA's promoter Sauerland that fight can be staged either in the USA or in Germany. It is up to Pavlik's camp to decide where their encounter will take place.
The ball in now in Pavlik's camp.

Pavlik is a great figher who twice beat Jermain Taylor. Taylor is better than all the fighters AA has beaten up to now. However,I for my part dare to say that all in all AA's fight record is better than Pavlik's one.
AA has beaten quite a lot of fringe contenders and top journeymen as well as some top 10 fighters.
For example, Khoren Gevor is a better scalp than any fighter Pavlik has faced in his pro career with the exception of Jermain Taylor. Both fighters stopped Miranda.
Zertuche,Zuniga-good fighters ,but nothing special at all.
AA's list of good scalps is far longer than Pavlik's list.

Well,I still wouldnt dare to bet any great sum of money on either fighter though.Could really go either way!

Not even Jack Loew wants the Mora fight.

Chances are we'll still be getting it...and some people will STILL pay for it.

:rofl You cant be serious. Think about what you are saying. As far as Resume goes...AA took Miranda's O. Pavlik knocked him out first....fast foward..he knocked the undefeated JT out cold......beat him in a rematch. AA best win is Miranda whom he barely got past in his first fight. Clown for life is what you are.

Everyone who pays attention knows I hate the idea of a Mora fight, but why the hell do people, like the interviewer, keep referring to Mora as a JMW. The ****ing creep has 2 fights at 154. He is, and always has been, a middleweight!

Overall it sounds like Jack and Kelly may be getting fed up with Arum. Kelly has been talking about unification since about 5 minutes after he beat JT. It's Arum's job to make that happen. I have a feeling that if he doesn't make it happen soon, he'll be looking for a new middleweight.

Yes it is a good point. As much as a dislike the idea of a Pavlik/Mora fight, Mora is an average sized MW. His two best wins at 160 are over guys who now compete at 168-175.

I've watched a bunch of Abraham's fights, and Jack is right; AA is not a hard fight for KP. He'd end up in the same condition as every other short power puncher Pavlik has fought. There is absolutley no reason not to make this fight. If Arum cannot, or will not, make Pavlik/Abraham happen, Pavlik needs to finish out his contract, and go elsewhere.
