Jack Loew: I don't like the Mora fight, Abraham would be easy work.

Well, neither guy has a stellar resume'. Simon took 3, maybe 4, rounds, and the kid definitely has a chin on him.

Today is the day Top Rank was supposed to meet with Team Pavlik over the proposed Mora fight. I keep checking for news, but nothing yet. If they found a way to put Pavlik/Mora and Abraham/forrest on the same card, I could get behind a mora fight, but the **** Arum is talking about is just that . . . . ****.

Paclik vs Mora ain't a bit interesting.
Abraham vs Forrest altough somewhat useless is more interesting.
Would have wanted Martinez to get Forrest.

Btw Boo, I had Abraham winning 116-111 but 116-112 would have been more appropriate as I thought that it was more of a push than a legit KD in the 3rd round.

But go to the doghouse and find out that someone even had Simon winning the fight, had it 8-4 rounds without the KD - just crazy...

Oh and to talk AA - Pavlik: It's all about weight and who can make it in better shape on fight night...no bullshittin either fighter but still a 50/50...

That's how I had it too,116-111 and indeed the KD wasn't that legit but it was a KD.
Those idiots at SETANTA didn't even see it,they actually called it a push.:patsch

Arthur has a bad performance and actually almost dominates the whole fight and arthur looks like ****, and how horrible he is? What do you say about that?

I quite agree about the article on Dog House. Simon gave a good account of himself, but not THAT good. I watched the fight on the internet, and I'm never willing to argue much over scoring when I watch that way. However, the guy on Dog House was way off.

The Pavlik/Top Rank situation baffles the **** out of me. Dunkin and Arum did a great job with Kelly bringing him along, and then from October 2005 thru February 2008 a good mix of nice choices; a swarmer, a cagey veteran southpaw, couple of sluggers, and finally the champ. After that things just went to ****.

Jack should remember Yoggi Berra's comments on predictions.

You might add here: especially if they're about who Kelly is going to beat.

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=17528&more=1

Q: Jack, what do you think the likelihood is that Kelly knocks out Bernard?

Jack Loew: We’re not going in looking for a knockout. We’re prepared for 12 rounds. But if the opportunity arises, of course, we’re going to take it.

We’re going in there prepared for 12 strong rounds and if it comes, it comes.

Q: Jack, I was wondering if you could talk to us a little bit about the difference between Kelly at 170 as opposed to 160. And, you know, just whether he’ll be as sharp at this weight or sharper or just kind of your thoughts on this - on the change in weight?

Jack Loew: Yeah, well, as far as condition-wise and as far as the weight goes, that has never even been a concern in this camp. And, I think we learned a little bit from the Jermain Taylor rematch, fighting at 166, we were so concerned about the weight.

This time, we’re not even worried about it. He trained as normal, we worked out as normal. He was able to eat more, better food and then more of it and it just fueled his energy for when we went to train.

He’s going to have more bounce in his legs. I don’t think the weight’s even an issue.

Jack Loew: Well, I think it’s going to start out a good fight and I have all the respect in the world for Bernard Hopkins and his trainer, Nazim. I mean, we go way back, and we look forward to a good fight. At this point, I think Kelly’s on top of his game and I think we’re going to win the fight.

I'd rather wait and see what happens when these two meet.

    (IF they meet.)

You don't seem to be getting what I'm saying. Sturm is a paper champ. None the less, he's still a champion. If someone beats him, I wouldn't that fighter a paper champ as he did beat a champion to get the belt. Some people will go even further and will label anyone who isn't the lineal champ as a paper champ.

The situation at 160 is a bit odd. Taylor beat the undisputed champ, and then gave up two titles because he did not want to fight their shitty mandatories. Pavlik came along and left JT slumped in the corner wondering what the **** just happened. "Did I get knocked out."

Abraham won the vacant IBF title in a fight with a guy who never accomplished anything substantial before or after the title fight. The best fighter on Arthur's record failed to last 7 rounds with Pavlik, and yet we have people who doubt the veracity of KP's claim on the top spot. Rather silly, if you asked me.

I understand perfectly what you're saying. It's the logic of it that escapes me.

AA is a paper champion ?

But if Simon had beaten him on Sturday last, Simon would be a real champion ?

Post # 42 still sums up the position best.

    Did you read post # 55 ?

That pretty much sums this bull**** up. The reason that AA is the paper champ as Reg put, is b/c Pavlik is the REAL champ. You cant have two champs. One has to be the lesser champ. AA cant even breathe on Pavlik's resume. There is nobody on AA resume that Pavlik has not or would not demolish...quicker than he did. AA went life or death with Miranda and got his jaw broke. Pavlik literally beat the living **** out of him from pillar to post.................easily. He knocks out JT....cold. AA is a fart in the wind. He is not a bad fighter but he cant make any claims as middleweight champ unless he beats Pavlik. I think and I always thought Pavlik would beat the **** out of his lazy style.

He knows exactly the detailed scores of the Abraham fight, they sign numerous autographs to ESB forum members and he claims he doesn't know whether people like the Mora fight or not. :patsch

Even the delusional Booradley is absolutely boycotting the Mora fight, now don't tell me you haven't heard any comments on the Latin Fake, 'Jackie boy, you SOB'! :hi: (from Sin City)

it's hypocritical of you to call abraham paper champ and Pavlik real champion. what makes Pavlik the champ, losing to Hopkin ? I consider Abraham a titleholder and Pavlik the champ but calling him paper champ is just not right
