A matchup with either taylor or Froch is much more significant than Bute.. Resume wise and business wise...

    ooh F is for ***!!!:admin

Taylor has 1 fight at 168 a hard fought win against a one armed shot to **** lacy. and he 's fighting froch next. sorry but bute has a much better resume at 168 then taylor you have to be completely ****ing stupid to think otherwise. bute has wins against bika, berrios,Andradejsut to name 3 all whome are in the top 15 and he just recently blasted out Zuniga. so how does Jt have a better claim to the title ? and froch for that matter

I'm sure Showtime wants to make Bute vs Green/Taylor but the timing is just bad. Bute has a very short window of opportunity to make another title defense before the Andrade Rematch.

With Green and Taylor fighting on April 25th. It would be hard to make a fight with them on June 19-20th.

You think it's possible Allan Green could pull out of the April fight to fight Bute in June instead? With the approbation of Showtime of course.

I don't think Green will do it. He won't take the risk. If he fights De Leon and then Taylor, that's a big fight ($) and a very big fight ($), whereas if he fights Bute, well, it's less of a big fight than the one against Taylor...so it doesn't make sense.

Forget Green. Let's hope it's Bika. :good

His firepower is a way more than he will need against Green. Green better be carefull what he wish for. Bute move better and is a better counter puncher. I have break down Green style and everything he do, Bute can do better. He will be watching his shoes all night long or the sky.

Why exactly should Bute fight Bika again? He already handed Bika the most convincing loss of his career. I'd rather he fight someone else, even if it's someone who's not as solid of an opponent on paper. Miranda would be ideal, but I could live with Stieglitz or Mendy. I'd love Dirrell or Ward, but I doubt their promoters would risk them losing to Bute; there are several weaker beltholders than Bute at the moment, they'll probably work their way up to face one of them. Just as long as it's not Jesse Brinkley.

BTW, I love how the IBF says Bika is from South Africa, even though he's from Cameroon and lives in Australia.

I was asking myself the same thing. I don't think he's going to fight Bika again unless he becomes a mandatory.

Let's assume they choose someone from the current IBF rankings (i.e. the rankings don't change to include someone else). Let's also assume that the fight will take place on the 19th of June, not later.

In Blue, I selected those who definitely won't be facing Bute.
In Yellow, I selected those who are unlikely to be in contention/want to take it.
In Red, I selected those who don't realistically have the time to prepare for Bute given their up-coming fights

    ...so we're left with:

Brinkley...yeah, he's American...that's about it...overrated journeyman, but Interbox wanted to feed him to Bute, to make Bute look very good.

Miranda...fair enough, why not...but he's another former MW...another Colombian, and another banger...just like Zuniga...so...what's the point?

Andre Ward - a prospect, wants it and is American, but Interbox aren't interested, because they want Bute to face someone who is proven

    and

Bika, who wants it, whom Showtime would like to face Bute, whom Interbox consider a good choice of opponent, who is better ranked than enyone else, a better fighter, more proven and who would prepare Bute better than anyone else for Andrade, and who would give Bute a better fight than anyone else...

...Bika, Miranda and Brinkley are the favourites...of course I prefer Bika, not just because I'm a fan of his and want him to get big fights, but also from the point of view of Bute. That would be a really credible title defence. We would be able to judge the progress that both have made since their last fight together. Bika is better and more hungry now than ever, in my book...and I want Bute to fight big fights.

The ball will be in Bute's court after 4/25.. Let's see if he has the cojones to put his title on the line against Ghost Dog... Although he might be a bit spooked after he sees Green/Deleon... The fighter makes the belt and not the other waay around and I know the belt would worth alot more in Green's hands....

Allan Green aka Ghost dawg is coming for you Bute.
