In theory if he signed on the 22nd wouldn't it still be a legal contract since Wlad's signature is already on it? I don't know about these things.
Good point but I'm guessing if that were the case the Klitschko team will have taken steps to terminate the contract
As long as the contract isn't too one-sided in Wlad's favor, Haye will end up signing the contract at the last minute. It's not all about the fighting in the ring, you have to play mind games with your oppenent as well, something Hopkins has been doing for years. Look for Haye to sign within the coming days, he does want this fight.
The mental aspect is just an important as the physical part. Wether it was Hopkins disrespecting Tito's flag or Tyson make off comments about his oppenents, it does work against certain fighters who are not mentally as tough as them. Grant it against Vitali, this **** wouldn't work in the least, he would just laugh at Haye and give him that look like "You know I'm going to kill you in the ring, quit ****ing around", but when it comes Wlad, it's whole nother ballgame. I think everyone has questioned Wlad's mental toughness one or more times, and he's gotten mixed reviews in regards to it.
there was a time limit on the contract sent to Haye (dont know 1st date)..... then the date was extended (in writing)
I agree... but this Haye crap is not going to work on Wlad. :-( I might work for Haye himself... boost his own ego, but it wont have ant affect on Wlad
Well thats your opinion, and you may be right. Though what does it hurt to give it a shot anyway, what's he got to lose to by letting Wlad sweat it out a bit? It's all psychological game, and Haye seems to be doing pretty well at it. Wether it will work for him in the ring or not, I dont know, but why not take the chance and see what happens.
He's got a PhD in sports science. The study of sports science traditionally incorporates areas of physiology, psychology, motor control and biomechanics.
He might just need every edge he can get, he is facing a very good oppenent. We all remember everything Tyson did before the Lewis fight, he even bit him on the leg. :rofl While all that didn't work for Mike come fight night, at the very least it made it the highest selling PPV up to that point in June 2002.
The press conferences will be fun thats for sure... I keep telling Wlad he needs to give it right back to Haye... talk some ****... use some cuss words. But im sure he will do what he always does... talks IN the ring with his fists, not waste time talking out of it wow... that sounded alittle to ra ra ra:rofl
Awesome... ****ing awesome...:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Manny tells that story really well. He makes me laugh every time he tells it
