Who do you think Khan "could" beat in The Ring's top 10 at Lightweight (its actually 11 when you include Ring champ Juan Manuel Marquez):

    Champ: Juan Manuel Marquez
    1. Nate Campbell
    2. Edwin Valero
    3. Juan Diaz
    4. Joel Casamayor
    5. David Diaz
    6. Julio Diaz
    7. Antonio Pitalua
    8. Michael Katsidis
    9. Ali Funeka
    10. Yuri Romanov

(nb: Pac is fighting Hatton, so I have removed him and put in Valero who is moving up to fight Pitalua next).

Its a damn deep division and I'm not sure there are many on that list that I would confidently pick Khan to beat as of now; there are a lot of big punchers with good chins and high workrate in there (Khan nightmares). He possibly has a chance against David Diaz, Julio Diaz, Antonio Pitalua and old man Casa. But I wouldn't be confident; I just think he "could" beat them if he went in with his A-game and fought his best fight.

    What do you think?

I'd pick him against David Diaz and Katsidis. I've not seen any Funeka or Pitalau. I'm 50-50 with Casamayor he looks pretty shot. All the rest would beat him at this stage especially Juan D, Campbell and Marquez. All would score KOs.

    Marquez KO Khan
    Campbell TKO Khan
    Valero KO Khan
    Juan Diaz TKO Khan
    Casamayor KO Khan
    Khan UD David Diaz
    Funeka KO Khan
    Romanov TKO Khan

I'm not sure about Julio Diaz, I've seen him but I can't quite picture how he fights. I'm unsure of Pitalua, Katsidis is a toss up for me.

IF Khan was tough as **** then he could realistically beat em all as long as he can maintain that rapid fire approach for 12 rounds. However due to him being a touch frail he is going to have to build experience, fight the right opponents, use the right strategy and even suprise us with some of the shots he takes ala Lewis!

Ach sorry mate I disagree. The comparisons a really good one between Lewis and Khan. Like it, but the big difference is Lewis was a heavy with massive physical advantages over the majority of his opponets.

Khan will have to be able to infight at world class. You cannot win every fight using speed and movement. Eventually someone will pin you against the ropes, or catch you off guard- especially at these lower weight divisions. Barrera's attitude played the biggest part in his defeat. Wrld class fighters, have a world class attitude.

Julio Diaz vs Amir Khan is very winnable for Khan, Nate Campbell has now moved upto LWW.

Khan doesn't just possess speed and movement. He has versatile footwork and offence. If he can do that sort of work for 12 rounds, he'll give anyone hell. Think a little Guzman or Calzaghe. Khans approach against MAB never let MAB in the game, it could the same to others. People will cite the cut but Khans approach was very hard to deal with.

With Lewis, I am merely alluding to the fact that Lewis sometimes took shots that you'd think would floor him but didn't. Lewis only ever went down twice but when he went down, he stayed down. I'm saying that Khan could face someone like Katsidis and really suprise us by taking one or two big shots.

You are way too optimistic regarding Khan.

Calzaghe and Guzman have been hit. They can give and take it.

Yes we should just give up on him due to his weak chin, whats the point in even talking about him, we should ban any Khan threads.

I'm not saying don't talk about him. I've giving my opinion on him just as you do.

It amazes me people cannot see the obvious regarding Khan at world class. He WILL be KO'd.

How many times does he need to prove this? Willie Limond knocked him down for 10 and he has 8 KO's. Michael Gomez hurt him to the body and knocked him down with a cuffing shot. Even an unknown French cat put him on the deck. Craig Watson made him do a chicken dance in the amateurs. Prescott knocked him out cold, firstly making his legs go from a jab. Even Barrera, on the only clear shots he landed made his legs stiffen despite what Jim Watt and co would have you believe.

It is going to happen. Period.

And what if he overcomes his flaws, works hard in other areas, moves up in weight and his chin improves like ODH, Pacman (got KO 2x before world champ), and becomes a World Champion what will you say then?

All Im saying for now is I cant wait to see who Khan's next opponent will be. At the end of the day in this division...there is no easy way to the top. Some tough nuts are gonna have to be fought along the way.

Khan stops them all apart from Marquez who could posibly last to a decision loss.
