Cotto already won this fight. Pacquiao hasta be the one to bring Floyd outta retirement. He's generally regarded the P4P #1 since Floyd left. This fight makes the most sense.
As far as I know, there is no Cotto-Mosley rematch happening. And there are PLENY of other fights out there for him... Hatton/Pacquaio winner JMM at a catchweight Mosley Cotto...
I keep hearing rumors that Floyd is sparring more and more and that Marquez's name is being thrown around a lot. I really hope he doesnt fight JMM since i think the winner of Pac-Hatton, Mosley or Cotto are bigger fights. Unless maybe Floyd is going to come back and fight more than once and take on one of those i mentioned AFTER JMM.
Again, this is all your personal opinion. Clearly his style appeals to the masses given the numbers he's done in his recent fights. And I really haven't seen him doing much running around in the ring in his recent fights(except for the Baldo fight).
Mosley or Cotto for me. I don't see how anybody wouldn't be excited to see one of the best fighters of this generation return to his throne:bbb
C'mon man...you know his numbers in the Hatton and Goldie fights were not a direct result of his "popular" fight style. If that were the case, the Judah and Baldomir pay-per-views would have been much better. If Hatton and Goldie didn't have the following they have, those fights wouldn't have had great numbers. Mayweather is a great fighter and a lot of fun to watch at 135 and 140...anything above that is just a waste of time.
Yeah it was a direct result of Floyd pratically selling the whole fight himself on 24/7. Hatton and Delahoya did **** all to generate interest from the casual fan for those fights.
So the excellent PPV numbers that Mayweather did(in America) against Hatton were because Hatton's following(which is overwhelmingly located in England)? How come none of Hatton's other U.S fights were on PPV? How come none of them even sold out if he has such a big following in the U.S? That's your opinion. Many people enjoyed his fights with Judah and Hatton. The Mitchell fight wasn't boring but it was one sided. The Baldo fight was boring. The fight with Hoya was good, but failed to live up to the hype.
