This comment means nothing except that maybe Gomez wasn't the perfect fighter.
I think most of us agree on here that there is no such thing as the perfect fighter.
What's your opinion on Gomez' opponents.
Also Nigel Benn knocked out Iran Barkley in one. Does that mean Barkley's opponents were all overrated ie Hearns.

I think you're right there. I don't know why I'm bothering with it.

Don't wanna derail the thread, rr, but interested if anything special struck you about Hagler's sparring and what he was like in the gym?

i think benny leonard is a brilliant shout but i still think SRR is/was the most complete ever.

i do think Hagler, Hopkins are nearly their but lack afew things.

Sweet Pea is a good shout along with Pep abit more power and you have potentially the GOAT especially with Pep

Stonehands you mentioned Benny Lynch, he was amazing had real boxing skills with alot of power but from what i have watched of him he didnt have the greatest of defences, however his movement and visousness of his attacks made up for it. However, i think he is the most complete Flyweight ever

You want to ask Brooklyn 1550 about this John, he's been in with Marvin.

The move up in weight even though it wasn't much effected Gomez you could see that even when he moved up later. At 122 he had is all one of the most complete fighter ever losing to Snachez doesnt take that away. And his resume at 122 is probably better then anyone body else at the weight.

    salvador sanchez was pretty perfect,

i agree with srr, srl, duran, gomez, jofre, lopez

i think napoles dident really have a weakness either... except cuts?

what about mike tyson? he was short for a heavyweight, but thats what made him a harder target to hit during his prime.
