HBO Has May 30th Set For Berto - Who Should He Fight?

why not stick him in with mosley, i hear he's struggling to get an opponent.

 

Margarito is suspended, Berto's camp does not want to face Collazo immediately, Paul Williams will have finished a match with Winky Wright, Cotto/Clottey are slated to face one another, Mosley wants to sit back and wait for another shipment of steroids and HGH, so that leaves out the truly elite of the welterweight division.

The list is few for any credible opponents. Quintana, Judah, Cintron, Urango are basically the 4 viable options left.

Judah and Cintron would make for the best fights. Quintana would be Berto's toughest challenge. Urango would easily be disposed of by Berto, I think.

 

Collazo.
But if Judah gets it there is no problem.Not many Berto can figth and win

 

The only ones on that list that I'd pick him to beat are Judah and Urango.

 

we need a rematch , Collazo fight was a good one to start of 2009 and he almost did enought to win. A rematch would sell some tickets for sure. I would pay to see that rematch. But a fight will mosley is the fight i would wanna see for sure.

According to Dan Rafael as of a few days ago, Dibella was on the verge of completing a deal with the Urango people for the May 30th date against Berto. The talked about stage would be at the Hollywood, Fl. Hard Rock. Should this venue be contingent on Urango as the opponent then this would be the fight I favor simply because I then get to attend. However if Berto was to fight at that venue no matter who the opponent then Judah would be my choice because of his name. Judah would also present a challenge that Berto has yet to face which is an opponent with similar hand speed.

 

I was going to originally say Mosley, but I think he'd beat him at this point. Berto would definitely control the fight early on, but I think Mosley would wear this guy down and knock him out late in the fight. Putting him in with Mosley so quickly might eliminate some interesting bouts for the WW division

Judah is done. He's always a good acid test, but I think Berto can manage to beat him.

Urango fights at JWW. And he's pretty green...that's a stupid fight.

Collazo is a fight that I think should marinate a bit. But something that NEEDS to happen.

Quintana to me...is the best fight. He's a slick boxer. He's not heavy handed. And he doesnt have a granite chin. So we'll get to see how well Berto does with his skill. This would sorta weed out the lower tiers of the division. It's also a fight Berto can very well lose as well. This to me is a step up in class and a safe step up in class. If he can beat Quintana, and convincingly then he should be ready for the Collazo rematch.

 

I voted Collazo but I wouldn't mind Mosley

 

HE LOST THE FIGHT AGAINST COLLAZO.HANDS DOWN THAT WAS A ROBBERY. if not COLLAZO then yes Mosley...judah is washed up, quintana is not an elite fighter and hasnt done much since his lost to PWILL so why does he get the chance? Urango is a 140 pound fighter!! im tired of people making other fighters come up in weight to fight..that usually gives the advantage to the heavier fighter. USUALLY. so def Collazo or Mosley. Berto has pop and speed but i honestly dont see anything special out of this guy

I honestly wouldn't mind any of these fights however a unification bout against Mosley is highly unlikely to take place on the scheduled HBO BAD set for May 30th, Judah has said that he's campagning now at 140, Urango holds a belt in a red hot division so a move up in weight might not be wise, Quintana also fights under Dibella but has considered a move to 154, and finially Collazo who very much is deserving of a rematch. Like I said, Judah would be my choice because of his name and it would be a logical fight for both fighters but I would welcome any of these fights.

 

He holds the wbc belt. He should be fighting the best. Mosley.

Urango is LWW, he should stay there. He should fight collazo or quintana. I dont know how or why Judah should get to fight Berto. He is a joke!
