Brewer/Echols was a terrible stoppage. When I saw this post I thought of that fight. Terrible stoppage.

I'd have to agree Manfredo-Calzaghe was an absolute shocker. If you watch it in slow motion, NOTHING landed by Calzaghe. Manfredo was just a dick for not throwing anything back.

    Also Mitchell-Mayweather was terrible.

Richard Steele has had some shockers.

Manfredo - Calzaghe should have been stopped 3 month before they entered the ring.

Ali - Lyle was a bit premature but by no means the worst. You guys have mentioned all the ones I can think of. I was gonna say Robinson - LaMotta just to be a wise ass.

The Juan Coggi fight. A columbian fighter had him out on his feet and the ref counted to a thousand while Coggi cornermen were holding him up by his trunks. One of the worse I have seen in my life.

    Not aimed at me but...

Joe was winning the fight definitely - clearly - comfortably - not quite as much as the bias commentators made out though.

It was a very odd stoppage though you have to admit? Especially when you consider that this is the fight that led to Calzaghe's WBO title fight.

I'm not sure which is more shocking, the state of the competition or the stoppage?

Alot of stoppages in the Gamboa fight looks sorta suspicious to me.. really premature, as if it's " fixed "

Looks like Joe was a little peeved at the stoppage as well. He didn't know
what the ref was up to.
