I don't really mind MMA, but i can't say it really does anything for me.. nothing compared to boxing, either. Fedor is interesting because he's a great fighter, but that's also my main criticism: it seems that almost no fighter can hold on to the title for longer than a few fights. A little while ago, some champion lost to a celebrity making his MMA debut. Kimbo Slice lost to an unknown gay journeyman.

Just punching is hard enough already, if you also have to worry about kicks, ground work, etc, it just becomes TOO complicated for the mind, which is why almost everyone of them are shitty boxers. And which is why it seems to be almost a tossup as to who wins, unless it's Fedor. What always fascinated me about boxing is how a legend can keep winning against a variety of opponents and styles. That's missing in MMA. It seems more like fastfood.

Kimbo Slice was never an elite MMA fighter; many question whether or not he is a true MMA fighter at all. His Youtube! stuff is what made him so popular, then Gary Shaw tried to make him into the biggest thing in MMA. That fell apart rather quickly! The guy's tough and strong, but he needs to learn a heck of a lot!
