I'd like to see Famoso Hernandez vs Freitas in a "Loser must retire and stay that way" fight.

Freitas was great in his prime but he's only fooling himself nowadays.

I think 140 might be a bit much for Popo and Im a fan. He'd **** up Urango though.

Freitas is fun. You guys saying he quit in fights, he's a ***** etc... it's not the same in other countries as it is here. If a guy thinks he might get killed in that ring - a la his fight with Corrales - a fighter can give it up with no shame. I don't hold quitting against Diego against him, the only thing that was going to happen there was he was going to get decapitated and everyone knew it, especially Acelino. Quitting against Diaz is a little more questionable.

Most other countries consider it a sport, not a death match.

in all fairness, dude is old. i never seen famoso quit. when popo quit like that, it showed he no longer had the heart of a fighter.

Freitas should have never changed his style, as soon as he did be became a boring fighter, he used to have devastating knockout power until his new trainer tried to make him a ballet dancer, same with Naz.

he had to change because they realized he didnt have 1 punch ko power at the elite level. then they found out he was a pretty good boxer and tried to run with it for a while. when he found out that he wasnt a great boxer, he quit in a couple fights he was losing then retired. dont get me wrong, not badmouthing popo but thats just the way i saw it. he did let me down quite a but though.

Nope, Suarez changed both Freitas and Hamed, ruined both their careers. Boxing is not ballet.

Freitas was an extremely heavy handed fighter, naturally so.

Oh boy..the ****ing king of excuses:-(

PoPo wasnt the banger that people thought him to be and it was proven when he stepped up his comp...Remember going into the fight with Joel he was SUPPOSE to be the banger, but that fight showed us he wasnt. Pre Casamayor he was 30-0 29 ko/tko's after he was 9-2 with only one more tko wins (3) as tko loses (2). Step up in comp and the ko ratio's always goes down but **** going from 97% to 27% dont have **** to do with a trainer:patsch

Freitas v.s. Barrios was a great fight. Acelino quit twice though
