Back in December Roman "Made In Hell" Karmazin won the NABF title at 160. He did it by handing Bronco McKart a one sided shellacking. He also took the IBF title from Ouma, and fought a very close fight with Corey Spinks. He is currently ranked #5 by the IBF, and is calling for a fight with Abraham. Based on Arthur's performance against Simon, does "Made In Hell" have a chance in this one?
Sounds like it on paper, but I've never seen the guy fight. Unlike many (most?) on this board, I don't want to base a decision on record alone. He should have been there with the check book to get himself into the eliminator like it appears Lorenzo does.
:yep come on boo one subpar performance is no need to start thinking things like this . Karmazin is a solid fighter at 160 he can do some damage but i feel AA would utterly man handle him . against Bunema he was Ko'd ok he could of out grown that weight clas but i would like to see AA get a big win at 160 over a top 10 MW like Asikainen, sylvester, castillejo, Geal or Lopez. or even Rubio. unless he was able to dominate one of those guys then i say he needs to wait before thinking of KP,aa and even Sturm.
Well -- McKart is shot to ****, so I tend to agree with you. However, the Martinez camp is PISSED, so if the Forrest fight does not work out for AA, this might provide an alternate route.
Karmazin was a the accepted number 1 for along time until he lost to Bunema. he has pretty solid skills. ands with solid punching power was good at iming opponets almost like a bigger version of Tyszu but with not all that power although he wasn't feather fisted. Alot of top names avoided fighting him not in the case where they were scared but he was really to much trouble and unless you had to absolutly fight him well you get the picture. Winkey,DLH,Vargas and other chose that rout
No he doesn't have a chance. He is at least past his prime. At 160 he is gonna get murdered by Abraham. And HE himself said he didn't outgrow 154,just moved up to get big fights. There are plenty who beat him at MW except Abraham(Sturm,Gevor,Pavlik,Sylverster).I sw the article on fight news and I was shocked. He is fighting Echols(another shot to shot guy) on Tv Azteca soon so let's see how he does but seriously though....Arthur would knock him out, even the Abraham from the Simon fight would I think. And I love Karmazin but he should really fight guys like Castillejo,Spada,Zbik not the good MWs.
yeha but IMHO i think forrest never had any intention on fighting Martinez. i think the AA fight will go through . if any thing AA would probally trie to secure a fight with the WW PW winner if he can't get forrest. now that i would love to see that way we get a clear cut undisputed #1 and the fight has it's build forrest vs AA winner fights the winner of WW vs PW. and i say in the mean time KP demolishes Mora first then sturm so Kp vs AA inlate 2009 early 2010. this Bs of AA not making weight is for the birds he will do what it akes and the fight will happen at 160.
Thanks for the input. I was going to send you a PM instead of making a thread, but at the time, you weren't online.
Okay -- I'm gonna get flamed for this, but if AA fights the Williams/wright winner, we will never see Pavlik/Abraham, because AA will lose.
I think AA has a chance of beating Williams. However I think he would have a harder time beating Winky just based on style match ups. Out of the 4 guys mentioned here Abraham has a better chance of beating Pavlik then the other 2. Abraham TKO 10 Karmazin.
Karmazin is way out of his comfort zone and he has no chance at all against Abraham... Abraham would bulldoze through him like nothing... His boxing ability is Ok but not enough to keep abraham off of him and he doesn't have the firepower to do anything... Abraham easy KO.. He should have stayed at 154.
