There's a lot of tough fights for Duddy at 154, Angulo, Kirkland, Martinez, Williams, Mayorga, Foreman, Spinks, Santos, Chavez Jr, i could go on and start adding the English lads as well but you get the idea. At Middleweight there is only really Pavlik, Abraham and Sturm, and there are rumors that Abraham may go up to 168 so maybe he might want to stick around and go after a Middleweight belt. What do you think Duddy's chances are against Felix Sturm?
duddy v pavlik at MSG would b the buisness...**** i would have 2 rifle the noraid funds 2 get there:good
sturm is a polished boxer...another 1 of the germans that dont like 2 travel...except when he fought ODLH and got robbed...duddy would find it difficult against such a negatively effective fighter imo...what do u think urself:good
Don't know too much about Sturm other than the De La Hoya fight so i thought I'd ask someone else, but i just checked the WBA rankings and John isn't even ranked by them.:huh So it look's like Pavlik for John, I just hope he's ready when he gets his chance.
is duddy going down to light middle or what? seems to have been talking about it for ages one thing they may do is get him one fat payday against pavlik so who cares if he loses. he can always go down after that craig hamilton did the same with micheal grant, building him into a big payday, lets hope duddy doesnt go the same way as him
I like what Pat Burns is doing with Duddy, We already know John has a good chin and the heart of a lion, but I've never seen how good his footwork and boxing skills were until the Vanda fight. Burns is keeping him busy adding more feathers to his bow while Pavlik is not testing himself by fighting the likes of Rubio and Mora! The fight with Smichet may have been a blessing in disguise and also the mess with Irish Ropes, Maybe just maybe Duddy will be ready to face him by the end of the summer and it won't just be for a big pay day, He'll be going in with the intention of winning the Middleweight Championship of the World.
did anyone see the presser today boys with bernard and cordoba, i just seen it on rte news, jesus dunne looked bloody terrible, high cheek bones, cheeks sucked in glazed eyes greasy skin all the signs of dehydration, whilst cordoba looked puffy around the face and looked great, bernard is really up against it
I know this has nothing to do with boxing but I just read two very interesting books: 'The Pope's Children' by David McWilliams about life in Ireland today. The other one was 'Evil Empire' by crime writer Paul Williams about the John Gilligan drug cartel that assasinated jornalist Veronica Guerin on June 26, 1976 on a highway while she was stopped at a light. The murderer is believed to an assasin named Patrick 'Dutchie' Holland who is alledged to be the pillion passenger of vicious gangster Brian Meehan. In the book a man named Paul Ward was convicted of disasembling the firearm and the motorbike and discarding them. Pieces of the motorbike was recovered in a lake somewhere. The gun, however was never found and Ward did not divulge where it is. Gilligan was recently beaten up in prison and found with two cell phones, simp cards and needles used to inject himself with anabolic steriods.
yeah big time man couldnt get over how bad it was, he was talking really slow and lethargic lets hope cordoba is put off by the crowd but 35 fights i think it wont affect him
