Why can't you admit that the Klitschko brothers would give Ali huge problems?

Vitali melted once, Wlad melted 3 times. I feel Vitali proved himself against Lewis back in June of 03, that he's no punk and stood up to Lewis and did not falter as so many have in the past.

As far as Waldo having an easier time with Doulas, I highly doubt it. Douglas' 83 or 84 inch reach would penetrate through Wlad's guard like it's nothing. Vitali at least as chin and can handle pressure, everytime Wlad gets caught in a sticky situation, he ends up on his back like 2 dollar *****. Vitali would have his hands full, no doubt, but he would find a way to win in the end. Wlad will not know what to do once he starts feeling the heat, my guess would be panick and try to clinch, where Douglas would throw a vicious uppercut that would send Wlad flying the canvas, Wlad will get up one more time and then get sent back down seconds later, thats when the ref would step in and end it.

Tyson would of been beat by the bro.s that night, no question,,,he was having a mental break down at this stage of his career,,,,Buster did his job, but no way in a dominate way, first stage of the fight was all tyson, but then he unraveled,,,i sure mental state tyson was in wlad an vitali would had a shut out on the cards when they stopped him,,,,,i like douglas, he did the impossible, but as history now shows us, mike was on the verge of a big break down,,,,,Ali would get KO'd by both brothers:bbb

They are just too big, I think. I like Ali, but, the Klits are the kings right now.

alot of sensationalism going on this thread. very few people are looking at this objectively.

while i buy into the whole new era athlete idea, i dont think it applies to boxing quite as much as other sports. boxing training today is much the same as it was 30-40 years ago(unless maybe your an explosive puncher, in which case the weightroom can help a fair deal). the drastic changes have come in the way of diets, but i doubt someone like an ali or holmes would have much to gain by putting on muscle weight.

also i wouldnt say the current crop of athletes is all around that much better then the old, theyve just strengthened the skills that are essential to there given sport, making them better at the sport, not necessarily better all around athletes.

incesant rant aside, i think ali beats both. IMO ali outboxes vitaly in a wide decision, ali will make good use of his speed, he will also make v klit pay for his stiffness and lack of balance. vlad would be a much closer fight, however ali takes vlads power and begins to pull away as the fight wears on.

Buster Douglas has one night of glory.

To compare him to the Klits' is as disrespectful as saying either one of them has the goods to take Ali.

Some Klit fans are getting carried away here, and either never watched prime Ali or Know little about the sport.

So in this particular case you happen to be largely correct.

But you are a hater, nonetheless.

You want to do another Ali/Vitali comparison?

Vitali couldn't carry Ali's spit bucket. And Wladimir "Puritty TKO11" Klitschko wouldn't have fared much better.

    :good:yep

Ok, how about Corrie Sanders? He was considering joining the professional [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]golf tour in South Africa before he starched Wladimir in 2 rounds. Wladimir Klitschko could beat Ali, but he couldn't beat a semi-retired golfer?

And how about Lamon Brewster, a career gatekeeper at best who somehow managed to win a paper title by knocking out... Yep! You guessed it! None other than Wladimir Klitschko!

    :yep

Yes, boxers these days can be better conditioned athletes. BUT - Klitschko fans seem to be forgetting, um...I dunno....a little thing called SKILLS. Not to mention all the other intangibles...

You can convince me that an enormous man like Vitali with good power, decent defensive skills, and good counterpunching abilities would give the great Ali problems, but Wlad? Please. He'd have to bring a lot more to the table than his basic one-two-three punch fighting style, that panicky mentality, and weak chin that he sports to get through Ali.

They do seem to be inhuman at times. I will give you that. Smashing through opponents like ****in' machines. That isn't an insult. They are very much like the Terminator.
