****, Im only after scrolling down through a few pages and now my main concern is, does Bernard make the weight ok:yikes. Between Bernard looking like a skeleton and falling asleep at press conferences, I dont know what to believe:-( But back to Murray, this a defining fight for him, thats hope he shines tomorrow night.:thumbsup
i was over in boston for the fight and it was alex perez whose blood test was late getting back, not eddie hylands, eddie had his medicals well in on time, patrick hylands fight was one for the ages, it was an out and out war for the full 10 rounds.
the independent says today that dunne will be on his biggest payday ever...€78,000 is that it??..god, i thought it would be a lot more. also, can someone tell me...what exactly happened at this press conference?.....he fell asleep ?? pity the wba have to fook about with their titles too... from the independent.. "It is not quite clear where Cordoba, with 34 wins, one loss and two draws, actually stands in a superbantam division already laden with talent -- as another Panamanian, Celestino Caballero, is the official World Boxing Association champion. But when Caballero won the International Boxing Federation belt in November, the Panama-based WBA in their odd wisdom promoted him to 'super' champion, and moved up their No 2, Cordoba, to 'interim' champion."
Thats just whoever wrote that for the indo not actually knowing the lay of the land. A little bit of research would have cleared it up. Caballero is a 2 belt holder so he gets to be superchamp. Simple. Cordoba won the interim crown. This is now his first fight for the actual thing. Also, whoever was asking about size difference, I've been told that Cordoba is slightly taller than Dunne and the bigger man to boot.
i think everyone should stop worrying about dunne looking gaunt he always looks like that . dos anybody think bernard will retire if he loses ? i hope he fights on even if he loses and gos for the european and chase another world title shot
That's a shocking payday for Dunne to be paid for a Title fight, I'm pretty sure Brian Peters paid 200,000 Euro to get Cordoba over here. He didn't fall asleep, He was just yawning away looking like he just woke up. I think a fight with Munroe could be made win or lose!
If he loses he should go to feather super bantam is very good while feather is empty besides john and a few others
we should worry about what he should do if he gets beat...if he gets beat and only then....for the moment its come on bernard...come on bernard
Dunne doesn't look that bad, Come on Bernard!!! This content is protected And the o2 is now sold out.
people here talking about how cordoba should be treated ie booing etc, being hostile or not and simply being respectful towards him but risking making him feel comfortable i say it would be one of the most imtimidating entrances but keep the respect if when cordoba comes in everyone there do the tommy hearns and his entourage approach and be stone stone silent..........not a clap.......not a boo. 9,000 irish eyeballing this guy with aggression and a certain measure of contempt let him know hes going to war to take away from us and bernard everything bernard has worked for his whole life. cordoba is not my friend!!!! rant over. will i be able to watch this on the rte website live from manchester?
