He had Haymon make an offer to Hatton's father in January for a rematch but Team Hatton had to decline because they were so deep into negotiations with Pac, this was reported in Boxing News. Cmon we all knew floyd would be back, the sham retirement was just an escape hatch to avoid getting knocked out by Margarito or Cotto.

Margarito is going to be out for a while. Cotto is hardly a tune up. That fight will sell. I doubt Floyd would take a tune up for he have to train for it and waste time.
Anyway if PBF is comming back and losses, all the huggers will say he was past prime, he was inactive and other bs.

maybe he really do want just big fights. Cotto declined floyd at 140 and margarito didn't have a name at the time. I would be happy if he fights pac, jmm, shane, or cotto.
