Can't imagine any scenerio that has froch winning outside of an injury to taylor. I would envision a 9-3-10/2 type decision, but would not be surprised for JT to stop him any time after 8.

Leaning Taylor. Taylor's motivation and stamina are the question marks. Motivated Taylor whoops Froch's ass. Froch is extraordinarily slow and not that skilled, but Taylor has been known to fight a dumb fight.

    Two scenario's where Froch wins:

    - Taylor fights a dumb fight, decides to slug it out, gets caught on the ropes a lot and gets knocked out

    - Taylor doesn't have enough power to hurt Froch and Froch relentlessly comes forward, eventually taking more rounds as the fight goes on, and wins it when Taylor runs out of gas.

Froch has slow head movement, and got cut against a C grade fighter. The rounds in the pascal fight werent that wide either i felt. Beside Taylor has a strong jab and yeah he was KOD by pavlik but at the end of the day he came back and in some peoples eyes beat pavlik the second time round. Jermains best win is Hopkins whilst Frochs best win is Reid.......if im wrong ill put my hands up and admit that froch aint as crap as i thought he was but i doubt that froch can beat bad intentions in this fight

Here's a hypothetical. Assume we see a version of JT similar to the JT from the 2nd Pavlik fight, and then just add a 5% all around improvement. That's what I expect to see, and if I'm right, JT wins a WIDE UD. Thoughts?

Froch wins this one. There's an avatar thread for those who fancy it!! Bought my ticket today for Foxwoods. Sure looks like a weird place!!! 3-4 nights in New York, then a couple in Mystic CT. Can't wait!!

Options two is the way it'll pan out. Froch by late(ish) KO. Too much power and a granite chin WAY too much for limited Taylor

My confidence in either fight isnt high, so I would not be suprised by any outcome in this fight.

I think Froch's lack of speed and defense will play more into the hands of JT over Taylor's lack of stamina, durability and imagination playing into the hands of Carl.

So ill pick Jermain to decision him..but as I said I wouldnt be suprised by any outcome. The most likely outcome I see for Froch is a 9-12th round stoppage, he holds his power pretty well and Taylor cant handle a world class pace so he will eventually tire at some stage...Im betting on Froch being to slow to take advantage of this but Ive never rated either that highly, so im prepared for anything in this fight.

Froch will win this one late on. I know Taylor looked better when he fought Pavlik 2nd time round but not that much better. Can't see how anyone genuinely had Taylor winning the bout though ? And he just looked back to normal against Lacy too. Froch wasn't great against Pascal but considering he had a broken rib GOING IN to the fight and still managed to take everything he did and give it out 'ten-fold' I see Taylor crumbling late on. Taylor's heart will break during rounds 8-12 due to the fact that Froch is hunting him down, constantly walking through his shots and punishing his face and chin with that sweet uppercut of his. I think the fact that Taylor avoided fighting for the title against Froch in order to fight that bum Lacy for an eliminator for THE SAME BELT speaks volumes about who feels they will prevail.

Damn. I envy you. I'm from Connecticut, but I've been away for 12 years. Gotta go there soon and go to a fight card. Mystic is a nice city.

Funny how the average post-count of posters who pick Froch by KO is around 75 or so...:hey

I pick Taylor to win this fight. With that being said, I worry about any fight he is in because he almost never fights up to his ability and always lets his opponents stay in the fight.

Sorry but Froch hadn't fought for 7 and a half months before his fight with Pascal so thats not even an excuse for Taylor.

Taylor was coming off a 9 month layoff after back-to-back losses.

    Bit of a difference.
