    Pavlik is ducking TBA. Obviously.

Anyways I can't see why Arum and Sauerland couldn't come to an agreement of sorts to co-promote a PPV together. You'd think Top Rank would be willing to work with them to build to something bigger.

I mean what would be wrong with:

    Pavlik vs Mora/Williams/Wright whomever
    Abraham vs Vernon Forrest
Korobov in one of those 4 round fights
Lamon Brewster -Sauerland based- vs Tye Fields -Top Rank's evil worthless HW-

I heard Sauerland throw out a random number that he claimed was a "public offer." No mention of a venue, a time frame, or anything else; just a number. And $3 million is probably only half or two-thirds of what the fight could make if it's promoted properly. AA makes about $700K per fight right now, and all of a sudden Sauerland is gonna come up with $3 million for Pavlik, plus pay Arthur, and do this in the USA?????

On a side note, have you ever stopped to consider the possiblity that these promoters could be playing us like a freaking fiddle? Think about it! We're talking about the fight every day.

I think 3 mil was just to see if Arum would bite and discuss a fight with them. You never use your first offer as your final offer.

This is all bull. They said the same last year which was really the reason Abraham fought Miranda, only to see Pavlik go for Hopkins instead of Abraham.

I didn't hear him say anything about the USA.

If that offer is low, presumably we can expect a higher counter offer from Arum any day now?

Wrong -- Arthur had a mandatory to get rid of.

I don't think Pavlik is ducking him to be honest. It's a promoter issue.

    That's inaccurate.

Both guys had mandatories to dust off first before approaching a mega fight. Problem was HBO rejected a Marco Antonio Rubio fight and John Duddy got cut eliminating him from the fight. Plans were FURTHER pushed back when Abraham got sick and the Marquez fight got sent backwards. Pavlik got locked up with Hopkins sometime between then and the Marquez fight, dropped an epic one sided decision and thus resetting his momentum.

    That brings us to today.

And Pavlik has consitently said that because of what happened to Miranda, he will not fight Arthur in Germany. Leow ran off at the mouth once, but KP has been consistent. Any offer Sauerland makes to fight in Germany is a fart in the wind.

Abraham has a crowd pleasing style - It's a good move for the division and the sport. Huzah.

That's a bit ****ing rich considering some of the travesties in the US over the years. I'm sure Abraham is aware of De La Hoya v Sturm.

It's perfectly clear which of these two fighters wants the fight more than the other, it's absolutely crystal which promoter wants the fight and which is running scared.
