from the way things are shaping up, the careers of these 3 fighters started with the same script. to quote a song title, all 3 were, "high flying adored"

valero; by his number one cheerleader Jeff M.
vargas; by the admirers of the brash, young and arrogant. (please stand up and be counted.

pacman: adored by a nation for his exploits.

valero is young, in terms of fighting years, although he is already 27 but still short in competition. at this point in time, he should have gained good technical skills to go with his "vaunted" knock out punch although largely untested against the big dogs in the neighborhood.

however, whilst vargas showed extreme promise with his run of 22+ wins undefeated, he was ultimately exposed by technical yet powerful boxers. (tito and dlh), he went on to fight and lose to other technical fighters. the lesson here is that you cannot rely on power alone. longetivity and win ratio will depend a lot on a fighters ability to evolve as a fighter and add more weapons to his arsenal.

pac's career on the other hand, is one simply written in the stars. you cannot write a better script, from a street urchin, to be acknowledged as the world's best p4p. He has managed to improve his fighting skills by polishing his offenses and improving his defensive techniques.

where do you rate valero at this point and where do you think his career will end up?

me thinks that at the current rate of his competition, he will probably be at the level of vargas at the end of his career. too many technical flaws, especially when he launches his punches. too open to counterpunchers.

at best, he can surpass vargas and win a few major fights but i do not foresee him being the next big thing like what pac has achieved. varelo will be 28 this year, i feel that valero failed to ride the early bus to stardom. with other younger fighters eager to establish carve their name, (khan, donaire etc,) he will be hard pressed to do it now.

the world saw a glimpse of pac almost 6 years ago, and established his reign as p4p no 1 with a run of unbeaten fights since 2005. i am no hater of valero nor vargas, but me thinks that valero is simply too hyped at this point in time. and he will defeated sooner or later and take his rightful place in history just as vargas did.

it is better to experience how it is to be king, to be on top of the mountain, rather than spend your life as a

    worthless cheerleader.

    or a eunuch.

by intellectual, that already excludes you. so please go away. :nono

Valero will never be on the levl of even Vargas.

Also, saying Vargas was 'exposed' by the likes of DLH and Tito....well, better than the kind of fighter who can/will beat Valero, like Pitalua, David Diaz, old Casamayor, Hell, with a slightly better chin I'd even pick Khan to beat him.

Valero is dreadful. To any of the guys who are hyping him, have you even seen the Mosquera fight? Shaky chin and overrated power IMO.

because a mountail troll always needs a knight to whip him back into his cave.

because st. michael had to bludgeion the demon.

because there is yin and yang. if you can't figure it out, then there is no hope. go back to your thread and stay out of mine if you only bring mindless discussion.

:good you have a point. me thinks if valero was active 5 years ago and his abilities would have been honed earlier, he would have a better chance. he relies too much in his power and launches his left with his right hand almost always down.

So you have a grandiose view of yourself being a balancing force in the Forum? You might want to go about balancing yourself out first though or the rest will not work...lol

and you admit to being in the dark side?

the world needs balance. if you enjoy, trolling, which apparently you and a couple of poster do, i relish the thought of order, civility and peace.

i do not have a grandiose view, its just that you choose the roles in life that you want to play. some want to play the role of jokers, so that most people will laugh at them and not take them seriously.

i am drawn to the qualities of a shogun or a ronin , (go google its meaning), so that is the role that I play in the internet. why are you so pissed off?

maybe his heart is filled with hatred for some reasons which I assume has something to do with his sad life. Maybe a pinoy gave him some bad ass whooping or something in real life.
