Foreman was a lean 235 at age 39 for Qawi in 1988........... Qawi was up near 222 pounds, but he held it pretty well.... Qawi looked bulky like a rock, however, Foreman was just too much of a hulk.......:D

tHATS WHY WHEN PEOPLE USE THE fRAZIER FIGHT AS AN EXAMPLE FOR WALKING THROUGH ALL THE SMALLER MEN...its really not so and Qwawi was pretty much in his face

The Foreman that fought Qawi is an entirely different animal to the one that fought Frazier tho Bummy.

George looked good at 235; I wonder why he allowed himself to balloon up into the 250's and 260's during his comeback. If Foreman had fought Holyfield at 235, he probably would have scored more punches and wouldn't have been so slow. Foreman trained very hard during his comeback, and supposedly his diet was pretty strict(the cheeseburger eating was mostly for show, a gimmick). His weight should have been lower later on in his comeback.

true and that was not Qwawi at his best and at his best he was not a top Heavyweight...the point I am bringing out is Foreman had trouble with the guy and he was 5"7....a lot of people watch the Frazier fight and assume that George would walk through every short guy...Qwawi was not a hard puncher in that division and he was 35 yrs old...Big George was 39

Foreman had to really jog every day and watch his diet in order to maintain 235 pounds at age 40........ Foreman was indeed more spry at 235, but also not as strong or powerful like he was at a good 253 (Cooney) in 1990 or 250 (Moorer) in '94........

Personally, I liked the 244 pounds that Foreman weighed for Rocky Sekorski in 1987 on ESPN...... I think George Foreman could've maintained that weight had he applied himself to do so..... Peace..

Bummy, would see the Qawi that George fought also giving the version that axed Frazier problems as well?

I think he might carried out in a coffin.

I think Foreman was also well matched and protected early in his career but I also feel he was gifted with strength...I seen him beat a lot of guys. and not look so good..... his record was really padded...Frazier was really his first top challenge and he came out of it well but I think there was a giant difference between that Frazier and the Frazier from march 8th...Qwawi at 5"7 was a short lightheavy and he was handled by Mike Spinks but he gave Foreman SOME trouble...I would not get carried away...still I think because of the Frazier and Norton fights..people
magnify George as an unbeatable monster...I am a big fan of his but I also believe the Lyle, Ali and Young fight gave me a glimpse of reality and balanced perspective like the Douglas and Holyfield fights showed me the difference of a Tyson against a fighter with a stronger will to win and the ones that were already beaten coming in.
