Hide had Vitaly out on his feet in their WBO title fight... only kidding.... but I do think Hide had a share of the first round.

This is getting ridiculous. Not a day that goes by where you have some Klitschko worshiper on a vendetta attempting to compare or place EPO Wlad in the same categrory with some of the truly greats i.e. Ali, Marciano, Tyson, Holmes, lewis, etc.

Wlad may have a better resume than the current bad crop of Y2K HW boxers - a lethargic era of HW boxing. But, all this proves is EPO Wlad is a carefully engineered robot who came along at the right time.

Thompson, Moli, Austin and Castillo aren't Wlad's worst opposition and Wlad cheerleaders know this. That's pretty pathetic. But for argument sake let's examine EPO Wlad's best opposition:

    * Chris Byrd - blown up SMW/Lt HW that couldn't break an egg

    * Sam Peter - inexperienced plodder, nothing more

    * Lamon Brewster - one hit wonder

    * Ray Mercer - once a good fighter but washed up and past his prime when he fought Wlad, who I might add, was recovering from hepatitis

    * Corrie Sanders - ooops!

Oh yeah...Wlad fought some stellar world beaters. :rofl Out of the top 5, Sanders is far superior in skill (with the exception of Mercer) and size than any of Wlad's opposition, yet Sanders was a mediocre HW during his prime. Arguably the best fighter Wlad lost to was the best fighter he ever fought - who was a mediocre journeyman at best. :yep

Morons like Widdow Faker and Ruskull are the same morons who artificially made Chris Byrd out to be a monster. Widdow Faker can't be taken seriously. He once said, and I'm paraphrasing, that Byrd would beat some of the great HWs of the past. This nonsense was to lend credibility to EPO Wlad's very weak resume.

I knew this topic would start a mud slinging contest from both sides. The bad part is there is no way to know for sure who has more power because of the many varibles that goe into a knockout. What we do know is that they both hit very hard.

Tedy Atlas is an ******* bigot who doesn't know what the **** he's talking about. If Golota was good enough to beat Bowe twice, what do you think Klitschko would have done to him.

Wlad is much bigger than tyson (240 vs 220) and wlad has decent speed, but i'd say that tyson's superior speed, and the way he ripped shots with much superior footwork and technique in general makes him the harder puncher of the two. wlad hits hard and is probably capable of hitting as hard as prime tyson (again given his size) but mike is better in terms of landing bombs

Freddie Roach is unbelieveable. Roach knows well that tyson hits harder than wlad but he is just saying this to hype up his fighter. I gave up listening to what roach had to say after he said that james toney would beat prime tyson . Yes roach did say this . The fact of the matter if wlad is such a hard hitter . How come sam peter was able to walk through wlads punches as if they were nothing . Nobody ever walked through tysons punches . They covered up . It astonishes me how clueless boxing fans say tyson didnt have a lot of power . His power came from his speed . Speed played a factor but tyson had enormous raw power in his hands . For instance in his exhibition with corrie sanders a guy who has a pretty stellar chin . tyson with his speed gone knocked sanders with glancing blows and had to hold him up several times . corey sanders sparred tyson and wlad and he is no doubt who hits harder . he said tyson hits like no other , he hits like no other . danny williams said the same thing . frank bruno said tyson had nuclear powered fists . Even in tysons late thirties his opponents still say that tyson fisted packed dynamite .Dont get me wrong Wlad is a very hard puncher but what opponent has ever talked up his power like tysons opponents have . None francois botha said wlad didnt have lewis or tysons power . mercer said wlad didnt have lewis power.

    Force = mass times acceleration.

Nobody hit harder than a prime Tyson.

LIAR!! mercer didn't said THIS!!! In terms of heavy clean punch in perfect conditions Wlads hits harder. Due to a style mesh up tyson can lend more damaging bombs due to his style and speed. Almost every boxer who faced both Wlad an Lewis says that wlad hit's harder. But still lewis 1st in H2H ATG. And by the way you have no clue who are you talking about COZ DANY WILLIAMS NEVER FOUGHT WLAD!!!

Punch for punch, I would say Roach is probably right. As a previous poster pointed out, Wlad's right is a huge shot. However, apart from his size, that's where the buck stops as they say!

Tyson was a much shaprper puncher. Mike was a guy who could throw five punch combos & every shot would the same intent, the same power, speed, etc. You have more chance of avoiding one big shot than you do four or five!

If a peak Tyson were around today he would damage both Vitali & Wladamir!

Tyson's hook when he was in his prime before fizzling out was the hardest most devastating I can ever remember seeing.

i hear your point but i think it's debatable that even in "perfect conditions" wlad hits harder. power equals force x acceleration and though wlad had more force, tyson has greater acceleration. it's prolly close, but in terms of actual punches thrown and landed in a real boxing match, tyson's was more powerful due to technique and intentions. and as said tyson's power was more consistent and more relentless
