GYM had his 4th of April card organized before Choko and Gillett entertainment group announced Holt-Bradley. Since Interbox are helping Gillett entertainment Group to save the fight, GYM surely won't give a chance to Choko. Too bad, GYM boxers could have boxed on the undercard, giving the fans some local heroes.

That's what I don't understand...why don't GYM decide to scrap their show and add their fighters to the Holt v. Bradley line-up...it would be a real show of unity from boxing promoters in Montreal, and would - I hate the phrase - show a touch of class - where GYM are concerned, not to mention that it would take away some of the bad blood between Interbox and GYM, and their fans...

...of, if you want to be cynical, why are GYM letting Interbox take all the credit for "helping the Montreal boxing scene save face"?:huh

I voted for Ward for two reasons. First, I know him less than Bika or Miranda. Bika has already been done. I think it's also dangerous to face a headbutt specialist a couple of months before the Andrade rematch. We know perfectly that Miranda would be the same kind of mismatch than Zuniga. At least, I haven't seen too much of Ward, and as he is young, that would tell us something about him.

It would tell us something about Ward, but not sure how much it would tell us about Bute...unless Bute gets beaten.

...Bute can only lose by taking on Ward. If he somehow loses, people will say he was very overrated...if he beats Ward badly, people will say he was picking on prospects who hadn't even fought Top 50 level opposition...:conf

...Interbox know better than to take on someone like Ward...

Bute v. Ward could be much bigger down the line if Ward's all that...no point in spoiling this potential match-up by feeding Bute a green and very unproven prospect...imo.

Hey! You asked me which one I wanted to see. ;)

Miranda or Bika won't tell us more about Bute and if he loses, people won't be kinder on him. I think Interbox should prepare Bute-Dirrell and do Bute-Ward right now. After Andrade, there is Taylor and Kessler, Dirrell, Froch, Pascal. Bute may never have time to face Ward and why not be the first one to show that he's not so good? Ward asked for it.

Anyway, I would like Bika also but I think it would be a mismatch now. Bute have already solved him, and Bika's ackwardness is one of his main asset. You think he's better now. I'm not so sure. He fought Contender level fighters and has been pretty inactive lately. That's not good for him. Bute may have improved more than Bika and this time, Lucian would use Reyes gloves, not pillows to protect his hands like he did in the first fight.

I still can't see why you are talking up the likes of Dirrell and Ward in the same breath as Taylor and Kessler...they're prospects and haven't proved themselves at all...I know they're American and top amateurs, but still...:huh

...and almost everything you wrote about Bika and Bute suggests that this is a good risk/reward fight for Bute...:D

    It's a stay busy fight, that's all.

Bika's boxing risk/reward is good. But you have to add an injury issue. The risk rises with it. I would be happy to see a rematch with Bika.

Here's an article (in french) in a Montreal newspaper about the problems that Chokoboxing is facing for the April 4th card with Holt-Bradley

I didn't see Miranda, but I wonder how many people who picked him in the poll and saw him still want to pick him now...

    guilty!!

i didnt want to see a Bika rematch because a really think it will look likt the first one and i want to see Bute against other opposition!

but now.... I could get rid of Ward before the young gun got more experience but i dont see it like a real challenge for now !

fighting Bika its dangerous only 3 mounth before an Andrade rematch so im a little mess up here . lets say im just looking forward to see Bute fighting while waiting for Bute-Andrade 2.
