Mayweather vs Mosley would be a boring fight to the boxing public

As a Floyd fan, I would want Floyd to fight Mosley since it would put a big W on his legacy, however as a fight in general it would probably be boring to most. Floyd would most likely just circle and pot shot. The fight would be somewhat close in the early rounds but Mosley would most likely tire over the middle rounds, and not have enough in him to pull a decision off in the championship rounds. Floyd would win 8 rounds to 4 resembling how the Oscar fight went.

While Floyd vs JMM or Pac probably wouldnt do as much for his legacy, Floyd would feel far better about letting his hands go, and unlike Mosley none of these guys have shown the same stamina issues.

So it depends on what you prefer

    Mayweathers legacy = Mosley

    Exciting fight = JMM/Pac

And this is different from how he'd handle any other fight? (Pac would force the issume more than Shane, though and would be a more exciting fight; but Floyd'll still try to pot shot)

SSM has the power and speed to beat Mayweather. If he lets his hands go just as he did when he pounded Margarito, then I think it'll be a great fight.

Your using basic observation to judge how he would perform against these other opponents which is stupidology in my opinion.

If you take your formula for judging the outcome of a fight then why dont we just say because margarito can walk through mosleys bombs, mosley will tire in the championship rounds and then margarito will either stop him or pull away on the scorecards, that is how most boxing observers like yourself saw this fight going and look what happened.

you cant use stupidology to predict the outcome of a fight. There is too many factors involved in boxing matches than to stupidly simplying your analysis by relying on such a basic level of observation.

The only way we will know the outcomes is to see the fights unfold otherwise you as a Floyd fan is just doing what any other Floyd fan does.

It is called stupidology and basic observation analysis

Mosley beat Margarito because Margarito stood right in front of him. He struggled with a fighter that came at him in different angles like Cotto. He tired after the first 4 rounds and although fought for the last 3 rounds, it wasnt enough and Cotto basically cruised to a decision. Floyd would do the same thing. 3 years ago it would have been more competitive, but I think Mosley is too far past it.

The Mosley that turned up against Cotto was not on the same world as the one that turned up in his last fight.

Mayweather Mosley would be an exciting fight...I think the fight would start out as a chess match and slowly turn into a fight around the 5th or 6th...Both are very versatile..I think Mayweather would try and box more and Mosley would be tryin to fight more

Nah, just being an ass. Floyd clearly engaged Hatton even after he had the fight under control. DLH, however, not so much - but that's where the Shane analogy holds as a fight short on fireworks. Could be fascinating, though, for those interested in great boxing.

I think Shane could do better than DLH, though, and he didn't do too badly (no, he didn't win by any stretch, but it was fairly close). And I'm not sure Floyd would press enough to wear Shane down. Helluva boxing match.

Floyd fights south paws with a high guard coming forward. Ala Corley and Judah. Thus he wouldnt be so busy counterpunching against Pacquaio. I dont think he'd be worried about Marquez' power and would think his chin suspect so would be more willing to let his hands go.
