Right. No way does Gomez stay on his feet for 12 rounds of powershots.

Vitali by KO.......round 6 to 7. 8, at the latest.

I like Vitali, but, would not be surprised if Gomez pulls an upset.

this is crazy...there is, literally, about a 1% chance vitali drops this fight...i mean he'll sven ottke knocked mundine out with one punch...anything can happen in a fight. however, that said, i have seen gomez fight at least a dozen times on tape and once in person--against al "ice" cole--and i have never been impressed, in the slightest. his speed didn't follow him to heavy and he lost his full range of flexible punching motion with the addition of extra muscle bulk. that said, vitali, barring an injury or a lucky punch seems utterly a lock in this fight. i guess we'll see. if the odds weren't so lopsided against gomez i would have put money on it.

even though i want Gomez to win..and its been a long time coming...he has alot of experience coming out of the Cuabn system but Vitali is in another league of his own. very hard to call but imma have to say it...Vitali by Ko some time in the later rounds. he will systematically beat this dude down, not saying that Gomez wont give up a good fight but after seeing Vitali against Peter...i think Vitali is serious about coming back and staying on top this time.

I can see Gomez winning this fight. In fact I am going to pick him.

    1) Gomez isn't Sam Peter. He will not just lumber in and get pot shot all night.

    2) Gomez is going to move and try to make Vit work at Gomez tempo. Again in the Peter fight Vit controlled the Tempo of the fight and thus made Peter give up.

    3) I feel Gomez isn't going to come in scared for this fight, and plus he is in shape.

In the end, this could be a very boring fight...If this fights in the US, then Gomez would win a SD, but it's not so....

its gomez's time now. He will not be denied tomorrow. I agree with thread starter, its going to be complete domination, vitali won't win a single round
