Yes, he is one of my all time greats and he blew being a all time great for not staying at 130 much more longer and partying instead of training like he should have. He took some very hard shots that would knock out any WW when Tito and Oscar were at their primes and best. This Camacho was way over his head in weight and was trying to make his money as I look at it. He was a phenom at 130. If you don't know then look up some of his fights. Don't go by just the good win he had over Ramirez.

At best I'll say Hector has an argument for winning the fight.

His style appeared just fine when he was facing guys like Howard Davis. Hector discovered his inner self when he fought Rosario, and any time in his career that he received a gut check he acted in a similar way.

Even if I accept that he was past prime against Chavez and Tito, he still should have been able to show SOMETHING if he was to be a great. E.g. Whitaker was done when he faced Tito, but still showed the heart that underlied the skills. Still showed the will to win of a champion. Hector showed what against Chavez and Tito?

Well, if Hamed was in proper shape he probably would have been a bantam or 122 pounder. He hardly was the most dedicated guy himself and didn't exactly look shredded in his fights at 126. Hamed is equivalent to Camacho if he say called it quits after the Haugen fight. Naz at least lost to a much better fighter than Haugen though. Can't say Camacho's career has been anything but a mediocrity after the Haugen fight. Wins against the ghosts of legends notwithstanding.
