His style's got a lot of substance to it. Even against a guy who went pro in November and whose two wins were against the same person, Andrade still put in the effort for defensive slickness while apparently breaking the kid's nose. Nice array of punches, too, with that uppercut showing a bit of polish already. Who would be a good measuring stick for him at this point?
I like him. He's got a nice jab and fast hands. I think he should stay away from throwing that jab to the body and going to the body the way he does against the smaller men he's fought so far. His speed will likely protect him 99% of the time of getting caught doing this though. Also has that nasty habit of firing that left hand straight up in the air before returning it to his guard. I think this kid is going to make some noise despite the low points.
Very athletic. Fast hands. A lot of things to learn and correct(normal at this stage). TOO DAMN EARLY TO SAY!!!! Lets see him Fall 2010 or Spring 2011!!
If you see something special in Allan Green but not in Demetrius Andrade, then you're just a bad judge of talent. Andrade has incredible tools. There's a question of whether he'll be able to put them to use, but he has immense physical talent.
i think moving up to the pros for any fighter will show them that they are in a different game the kid has 4 fights and they have all came pretty fast by the time he hits his 10th fight (prob by jan/feb 2010) he will be a very different fighter his hands will come up more and he will be landing harder shots! its hard to get away from the ammy style in just a few months the scoring is so different and when you have fought you whole life one way i cant see anyone just switching it up in in 3-6 months
Ever since i first saw him in the amateurs (the Olympic trials) i immediately liked him. I thought his style might be a bit boring in the pros, but i was wrong; he's a very exciting fighter. I'm looking forward to his next match!
he got a great arsenal he can throw every punch in the book ! maybe im wrong but i think he doesnt have the one punch power but got a decent snap on his punch to get respected from a lot of fighter out there! I wasnt agree with Atlas when he talk about steping up , he sure will need to do it at some point but let him get confortable as a pro before , no need to get a title shot before his 10 fight like Shumenov trying to do(it work for him and he his his own promoter) Andrade maybe doesnt fight a lot of rounds but he look like he wants to fight often! Im maybe not it the Train yet because i only see 2 fight from him + a couple amateurs but im will surely looking further for his next fight and probably get a ticket to join you before the end of the years!
