It pisses me off they mix that boring roll-around-on-the-floor crap with a fine sport like boxing. All that does is associate that low rent **** with the Sweet Science.
I thought it was ridiculous. The fighter should have been allowed to stand up after the break not lay down and be pounded on.
I am becoming a Flores fan. I didn't like him when he beat Ding because I was a Ding fan but Flores is talented.
BJ's career decisions make him easy to not like but he is a skilled fighter and is fighting a good fight. But whats with the bowl cut? He needs to come see me at my shop and I'll give him a smooth white boy fade!
B.J. banks another round. 6 rounds are in the books and I get the feeling that Flores wants to get some rounds in after his 1st round KO win in his last fight.
jones WAS great. anymore he is a hollow shell of his former pound-for-pound king self. if you still think he is the great roy jones, then it is probably best you don't see this fight because he and sheika are about to stink the place up with what i imagine will be an awkward, uneventful go 'round in which roy will mug and taunt as if he is going to follow it up with some remarkable feat of athleticism and technical genius, but he won't, he can't anymore...even against a pathological underperformer like omar sheika who gets beaten from parcel to post every time he lines up a fight that could do his career some good. roy never learned pure, fundamental boxing, so he has nothing to fall back on in his diminished state. he boxed in a style of his own invention that required peak athletic performance to be pulled off. the minute he lost a step, which seemed to happen right around the time of the first fight with tarver, he was a sitting duck and has looked like one in all the losses and hard, uninmpressive wins since.
