davd haye has done, literally, nothing to impress me at heavyweight and has shown significant stylistic weaknesses at cruiser...especially considering he'll be giving up such a weight and reach advantage if he ever fights either vitali or vlad. i am serious in asking this, could someone please explain to me what haye has done to prove himself as a legitimate title threat at heavyweight? i have seen haye's last 15 fights, at least, and i just don't get it. i think even if vitali relatively underperforms as he did this evening against gomez he would get over on haye. haye has a puncher's chance against vlad. however, haye's punch ranks far below brewster's and WAY below sanders' and accordingly i think his puncher's chance is about one-in-fifty of getting him anywhere. it seems pretty clear to me that wladimir would just box the ears off of haye behind the long, cracking one-two. please, i would like to hear arguments to the contrary...i am trying to understand what the heck the haye-fanatics see, stylistically, that gives them so much faith...especially considering how much speed and flexibility haye loses going from cruiser to heavy.
He definitely has implicit homo-erotcism towards the klitschko brothers, which in return manifest itself as hate against the brothers for turning him on, but a Gomez nuthugger no, not by any imagination.
I'd love it if next weeks FnF Peter vs Chambers decided who got to face Vitali next. Regardless of what happend in their last meeting i'd love to see a Peter vs V.Klitschko re-match. I do believe Peter has the power to take down the giant if he makes Vitali give up his height by not just rushing in, force Vitali to chase you. Vitali wont fight Chambers or Peter next. (both would give him problems) Out of Valuev and Haye i believe Haye is the better fighter but Vitali wants Valuev. So Valuev will beat him at his own game!
No way does Valuev take the fight, no. Chagaev, either. Those guys won't risk it. Regardless of what bold statements they make to the press, the WBA title won't be defended against a Klitschko But I hope I am wrong, as aside from Haye, the Chag/Valuev winner is all there is left for Vitali to fight that would be a decent test.
Vitali does not care who he fights next as long as the WBA title is on the line. Valouev or Chagaev, he does not care, all the titles are the Klitschkos' dream.
To Tell the Truth I've only seen on Hayes fight against that Cruiser that just got KO'ed again...and agains Two cap pistols....in both cases he winds up to throw a right hook like he's 3/4s Arm pitcher.....and while he's doing it, he's sending up smoke signals...in telegraphing is faster than that.
He won 8 of 9 rounds and knocked the guy down twice and was hitting him at will in the 7th and 8th and up till the stoppage in the 9th. What the **** is he supposed to do? Knock him out in the first and have him carried out on stretcher in a neck brace? Apparently thats a mediocre performance
Chambers was only one several names dropped. I don't know why Odo singled him out. Wlad said that Haye is his preference but if this doesn't work out other options include Povetkin, Chambers or Arreola.
They both looked like ****..when both fighters wind up looking like **** it's not impressive when one wins.
