If Floyd really wants to enhance his legacy and truly become great, he must follow the path of Mosley and take on a bigger counterpuncher with slickness and skill.

The man's name is Vernon Forrest.

If Floyd can manage to beat him, he will be an ATG and closing in.

Is Floyd truly adaptable or is he too a one dimensional defensive fighter, incapable of turning it on when necessary to beat a foe that he cannot beat by counterpunching?

This is the fight that will truly test Floyd as it is very difficult to counterpunch a larger man who is also a slick counterpuncher, and given the fact that this fight would have to take place at 154 or above Floyd would be at his highest weight.

Would he be reluctant to throw combinations as he was against an Oscar that was so fatigued in the ring that they had an ambulance on standby?

Yes, the same Oscar that was destroyed by some tiny man from some strange island.

Will Floyd have the courage to move foward in the fight or will he duck away in a dark place as he did when hungry challengers knocked at his door.

Can Floyd put his hands up and push the fight or will he lay back and let Forrest dictate the fight from a distance until he decides its necessary to move in for the kill.

Mosley was unable to do it, but can Floyd?

    Styles........

    Make the fight.

mosely was unable to do it aginst a prim vernon at vernons best weight. PBF will be facing Forrest at 154 and an old version if this fight were ever to take place. :verysad

I tired of reading about people wanting floyd to fight over the hill fighters, lets see him in with some guys in their prime like PW, Cotto, Berto. Mora beat Forest so he's obviously past his prime, 5 or 6 years ago Forest would have destroyed a guy like that. Lets stop wasting time and make some real fights.

Abraham is doing exactly what he needs to do. He is on track to fight a known fighter on televsion in the USA, and Forrest, although smaller, represents a pretty serious step up in class compared to most of AA's other title defenses. Sauerland is finally doing the very thing Arum has been asking him to do. Abraham/Forrest is the right thing for AA to do. I can't see why anyone would complain about it.

I really dislike the idea of Pavlik/Mora, but let's assume that this summer we see KP and AA fighting two guys who split a pair of fights. As far as a proper build up to Pavlik/Abraham, what more could we really ask for? We could hope to see both fights on one card, but that looks like a no go. Oh well, both promoters are clearly moving the direction we want them to.

I'm just surprised to see some one suggesting Floyd should get in the way. It's clear to me that gayrunner thinks Hatton will beat Pac, and he can make a bundle rematching Ricky.

****, since Forrest is over the hill, maybe this can be Floyd's tune up fight.

By beating an old Forrest in a weight class that actually isn't suited to Floyd?

Floyd vs Mosley @ welter would make much more sense.

Versus Forrest... who the hell wants to see that fight!?:huh
