Frank is an easy, and obvious target, but I don't think that his record is any worse than any other promoters....Palle anyone?

Exactly. Maloney is usually a good promoter but he messed up big time. Especially saying what he said on Bunce's boxing hour. Hope Munroe and Dunne fight in future will be a good domestic tear up .

If I was Peters I'd tell Munroe to go take a hike and win his own belt. Him and Maloney have been needling each other for ages now. They couldn't come to an agreement for an EBU fight, I'd be ****ed if I'd hand Munroe a world title crack after some of the snipes Maloney had at Dunne. I'd tell Maloney to go and take some risks with his man and go win his own belt just to **** him off.

Anyone know where I can get the WBA rankings? The domain name doesn't work anymore just trying to see who he is likely to have to defend against

  4. I might be being a *** here, in fact I probably am, but no matter which way you look at it Bernard Dunne is a legitimate (in the broadest sense of the word) WORLD CHAMPION.

He can tell his grandchildren about this day, this cannot be erased.

(yes, I have already stated I am being a ***)

Just for the record, since so many of you thought the scorecards would be heavily biased in Dunne's favour.

    Through round 10

Cordoba was up by 6 points, 7 points and (not 100% about the last one) 4 points.

thats a joke if dunne was down by so much on the score cards... The judges are lucky that Dunne Ko' d cordoba or else they would of ended up in the Liffey if they had of declared Cordoba the winner by so much on the cards!!

  10. I can honestly see the reasoning behind the scores whilst accepting they were definitely harsh. Just glad we avoided a robbery and have a new Irish world champion.

I honestly could of only placed cordoba ahead by about 3 rounds max at the start of the 11th round... anyway, doesn't matter now.

I dont think I can ever say a negative word about Dunne again, the guy gave us the greatest fight(literally) in the history of Irish boxing. I know I'm only 23, but i've seen tapes, and that was truly an 11 round war with 6 knock downs, cuts and a KO from two super bantam-weights. Where would you get it!!

Also, again I would like to point out tis was free to air TV, Sky take note. Amir Khan, are you having a laugh!!

I don't have a problem with giving Dunne credit for a great win, all I am saying is that Cordoba wasn't what I expected, Caballero must have had a really off night.

As for Munroe, he has definately found his level at Euro standard which is certainly no disgrace. I just hope that after tonights win people do not entertain the thought that somehow Dunne has stepped up and established himself as a fixture on the world stage because if so they will be sadly disappointed. Top 5 at SB, don't make me laugh.

    Thats ****ing scandalous scoring.

4 points is really stretching it, but 6 and 7 point gaps is just taking the ****.

I had it about even going into the 11th, but wouldn't have complained about a point or two either way.

Caballero's not nearly as good as people make out, not that Dunne would beat him. Terrible clash of styles for Dunne, but the likes of Juan Manuel Lopez as inexperienced as he is would devour Caballero.
