They have all got belts at 175 and need a name on their records. RJJ is back and looked good

    Any thoughts?

I would love to see RJJ whoop that record padder/ big fight ducker Erdei and become lineal/IBF champ at LHW.

All 3 would shatter Roy's Glass Jaw. Plus, Roy would have to travel to Europe to fight them and we all know he is not going to do that.

Erdei is the WBO champ, and correct me if I'm wrong, but Roy was his mandatory for at least a year, and Erdei stated he wants Roy. Still no money in that fight, Erdei is totally unknown but also a pretty good fighter, so Roy never looked for that road. Diaconu and Garay are even more unknown, so why would Roy fight them? He could face Taylor if he beats Froch or Hopkins if he beats Adamek, maybe Chad Dawson or Mikkel Kessler, but both of them are too dangerous.

So expect him fighting another tune-up, Woods or someone on that level, and then Froch/Taylor or Hopkins.

    Chad Dawson is IBF titleholder?

'Lineal title' depends on your POV. IMO it's vacant and the only thing beating Erdei earns is the WBO belt.

I dont know about the kind of coin Erdei respects but it doesnt sound like much as he doesnt appear overly popular...being a Hungarian fighting out of Germany with a pretty boring style doesnt help Im sure.

But Diancou sounds like he has some decent financial backing out of Canada and Romania.

    Roy should retire though.

Sorry your right about the WBO title and not IBF. I dont like Erdei in fact I hate him but he is the man who beat the man so he is lineal.

I dont think he deserves that distinction anymore and has pretty much pissed on its credibility with the trash he has faced after Garay, which was like 4 years ago.

I'm pretty sure we've done this before, but lineal title is a matter of opinion, not fact when it comes to resolving a vacancy, so pretty pointless stating your opinion as if it were fact.

Some people use a subjective system to resolve a vacancy in which case it is possible to consider Erdei lineal. Others use various objective standards, in which case it is highly unlikely that they would consider Erdei lineal (or would be a weird objective standard that would not include the WBC title as part of the equation).

Yeah I agree there is no point going round in circles on this topic but Erdei is doing a Calzaghe with his WBO title and I think RJJ has enough to beat Erdei.

Rightly or wrongly, subjective or not he is officially the lineal champion. Of course it doesn't mean he's the best light-heavy he's not even close, but he's in the record books as the official lineal champion.

Roy Jones will not travel to fight. He is scared to go and fight overseas like WORLD Champions are supposed to do. Anyone who thinks Roy would go over to Europe to fight is delusional.
