This is the fight i most want to see after Pac Mayweather. A real P4P King should take on the very best out there, and everything considered after Floyd that would be Cotto. Marquez - now too small and showing his age Mosely - too big Hatton - a shadow of his former self Cotto and Pacquiao combine just right to give a fight of epic proportions. Cotto's a small welter, Pac cant make 135 anymore. So size isnt such an issue, and its equalised by Pacquiao's superior speed and vastly superior stamina. If Pacquiao Mayweather doesnt happen, then i hope to god Pacquiao Cotto does.
If pac fights perfectly i think he can hurt Cotto.But once Cotto lands those left hooks to the body i cant see pac getting up. Lets see how pac handles rickys bodyshot before we match him up with cotto
Cotto by decapitation. If it does happen it can only be Arum cashing in. I don't think Freddie would put Pac-Man in a position to go out on a stretcher! This is not like fighting ODLH. Cotto is a big welter-weight. He won't be shot or weight-drained. Anyone thinking Pac-Man would beat Cotto is living off the euphoria of the ODLH fight and I even picked Pac to win that one. Pac-Man would be okay for awhile just because of speed but Cotto would walk him down and end it. I'm not saying Cotto is better but this is not a fight for the Pac to take.
If Pac-Man does not let Ricky bully him around then the Cotto fight would be more realistic. Cotto is a lot stronger than Hatton though.
Well something just came to mind though. Cotto never ever clinches so I suppose if Pac could neutralize Cotto's left-hand to a degree he might be able to do it.
