Most orthodox fighters do look bad against slick southpaws....... Gomez was wrong to come in at 230 pounds... I clearly saw 12 to 15 useless pounds on Gomez...... However, all in all, Gomez does have boxing skills..... Plus, despite his extra baggage, he still has some good hand speed, along with upper body movement...... Gomez is not a great heavyweight, but a good boxer between 195 to 215 pounds....... Gomez has skills......

I still contend that Vitali Klitschko is great...... I also would not bet on peak "Holy or Tyson" to beat or handle Klitschko......... In a time machine, I see Klit beating them two guys........

um yes, we all know you think they would beat anyone...thats what makes you a fan boy

to be great, you have to take great fights and beat great fighters
    he has done neither

man, you're just hating on an ATG. Holyfield is the best HW of the last two decades, this is undisputable. Why is he so underrated on ESB?

obviously you are a guy who just started watching boxing in the lennox lewis era.
mike tyson was 38-0 and had 8 title defenses before lennox had his 5th fight..... holyfield had won hos first world title 3 years before lennox turned pro
lennox beat 2 guys well past there prime and in tysons case SHOT...thats why he gets no credit for it.
they are scalps on his resume. lennox was so great he got knocked the f out 2 times with one punch.....at least when tyson and holy lost, it was by a long beating or a 12 round loss. not weak jaw *** like lewis...
go back and watch some tape newbie of what real fighters looked like, not huggers and slappers like vitali klitschko....if he he got pummelled by an out of shape lewis...tyson and holyfield destroys him....

Okay... So, Joe Louis made 25 title defenses' against an ENTIRE crop of world class bad-ass melon farmers......?:huh

    WTF?:blood

Vitali Klitschko is great........ And, NO! You do not have to beat a long list of great fighters to be great....... All you gotta do is prove to the best of YOUR era.......... Klit has done that.......:deal

Hating, how? Holyfield was a great fighter, but Lewis dominated him. And Vitali would as well.

Clown, I've watched all of those fights.. and for decades. Tyson fought tomato cans. As soon as he fought real contenders he lost. Full stop. Holyfield was a great fighter, but he simply could not overcome the size and strength advantage of Lewis, and he would have fared the same with Klitschko.

I have to admit, that wasn't Vitali's best fight mainly because Gomez is a slick ******* with skills.

6-7, 250lbs, ripped, 200+ amature fights, former world-kickboxing-champion, 39 pro-boxing fights, solid chin, never been down or seriously hurt, good movement for his size, underrated defence, ring smarts, proven KO power in both hands... 36 of 37 wins by KO!, only 2 losses came from injuries, while he was ahead on the score cards.

Admit it, the guy is a tough assignment.

I truly don't think a 90's foreman beats vit, i'll give you lennox, holyfield, and tyson in their primes, i never saw holmes and ali in theirs so i'll have to defer there.
