Nope i dont think pac will either, only chance i see is Pac catching cotto with left straight hurting him enough to finish him.Cotto doesnt clinch but he recovers well enough though.
Question is Can pac hurt/wobble cotto in welterweight? without getting hit in the process?

Most likely not because he won't be using all the wasted energy like he did with Margarito. He circled the ring the whole fight. It's to Pac's benefit to keep the fight in the middle of the ring where his speed shows up so he is going to have to be able to somehow turn Cotto with angles and things like that. Pac does have the fastest and maybe best footwork in boxing right now though and he would need all of it he could get.

That would explain the loss of his legs after six rounds, plus sucking on his own blood later on sure did not help. He still could have fought that fight differently and won. I figured he would beat Margarito in a rematch but that's down the tubes now!

I agree with you that had he made a few tweaks, he very well could have came out victorious. One thing I thought he should have done more was while he was on the ropes and taking shots was too clinch and break up Margarito's rhytym.

I know but Miguel says he will never clinch. I think it would have. made a big difference in the fight. It's hard for me to even think about that fight sometimes cause I always thought and still believe he is a far superior fighter. He may have lost but he sure as hell at least dented Margarito's chin. After I watched the replay I was talking to my self saying **** why doesn't he clinch or go to the body! Damned Margarito! lol

I'm not implying anything....when I saw warrior it dawned on me that
I haven't seen AztekWarrior in a long time....I disagreed with him a lot,
but he did know his stuff....and yes he was an Oscarsexual...but, I don't think he was a homo....

pacman is about to retire. He said he has only about 2 fights left after hatton. I rather pacman fight cotto who is a young champion and possibly the best welterweight today than him fighting lesser opponents like valero.

im with you there. pac after hatton is two fights away from retiring. i'd rather see him losing to the best fighters than winning and wasting his time to lesser opponents.

its a very dangerous fight for pac. even if he beat hatton, it isnt a guarranty that he can take the elites at WW. hatton is stronger than pac, and cotto is much stronger than hatton. yes, pac has an advantage in speed dept., but cotto has the skills to neutralize that speed.

Cotto's (perceived) weaknesses are PAC's strengths...

    1. He seems to have a stamina problem.
    2. He has some problems solving power-punching southpaws.
    3. He sometimes forgets his defense and gets tagged.

Though #3 is also a PAC weakness at the same time...

so u think cotto is faster? I dont think so. Pac may lose but he sure has the edge in the speed department.
