Hope Ricky does this, only thing that bothers me here is every time he has stepped up he's lost, so its a real 50/50 fight as Gomez is the king of upsets!, Shame Peter Harrison is not about to train Ricky think that aggresive style would do him alot of good.

Jeez, dont remember posting that! As you will no doubt have noticed, I was totally mashed when that was posted!

Apologies for going massively over the top.....and no I have never met Gomez, so only based my comments on his neddish behaviour.

I dont dislike Gomez to the extent I posted, and really want Ricky to win this one!

Once again, apologies for the original post.

Billy, glad to hear Ricky is looking forward to this and up for the occasion (also good to hear from a cracking trainer :) ). I couldnt help notice a poster or two claiming burns folds when he steps up. All I can say is the biggest step up in his career was against a prime Earl (not that shot fella Khan faced) and he chewed him up and spat him oot ;)

Burns is under-rated as a puncher like Jeff said. We've heard all to often Gomez turning up in the shape of his life etc, he should of done so and was supposed to have done so against Khan, okay he had his moment in round 2 but he was battered in that fight.

I think it'll be similar, Gomez will have his moment and more of them, but I think ultimately Burns will land too much and Gomez will pull out or be pulled out inside 8 rounds.

Mike Gomez was smashed in the chippy, and so was i. He wrote his autograph down on a piece of paper, and then he told me to write mine down..ha ha

    So i did...ha ha

It was ****ing years ago, i was only a kid. And i had just come out of the Pleasure Rooms.....ha ha

At first i was abit intimidated, because i did'nt know who it was. But then i said to him.......

    "Your a boxer...Gomez"

    bla bla bla

I can't wait for Jeff to do his Norman Stone impression in Gomez' corner "Double jab, right hand, hands up. Box this guy. Take him out Mikey!” ...then turn to the ref and call him a cheating mutha ****er:good

I'd like Burns to win this one

I was going to have a bet on him but its a bit worrying if there are problems behind the scenes

    Whats the story Spider?

Burns used to fight at lightweight and light welter why did he move down he seemed much stronger at lightweight compared to SF
